I was watching this on my phone, but when I saw the finished product I decided I had to see it bigger on my TV. It looks sooooo good! This quality Kong is showcased so much nicer on your custom made prop than if he was without it. Even the plane flying by has an aspect of realness to it. Top notch work. And don't worry about the wood grain showing through. With the crystal clarity the Lost In Space BluRays provided I saw lots of "metal" surfaces that looked suspiciously wooden.
Thank you Nathan!! I really appreciate that! 😁 The building does make it look better and it was fun to make. Yes the blurays of Lost In Space really brought out the details that weren't supposed to be seen! Haha! But I actually like seeing those things!
@@outsider238 My favorite was being able to see the wires that the Jupiter 2 was sliding along as it travelled around the huge derelict ship that ended up swallowing it. Btw, the best line in this vid is when you said "I'm going to take these googly eyes that I had left over when I was making those pig puppets..." Yes, it's another fun afternoon at Outsiders house! 🐷🏠
Excellent King Kong diorama. Creativity off the charts in making the building top for the scene. One suggestion....all the joints on King Kong would look better puttied over and fur sculpted in there. Keep having fun. Bill
Thank you Bill! I appreciate that! I don't think I'll putty the joints just in case I want to change up his poses but it's an excellent idea to make him even more realistic.
Want to geek it up a bit? Find someone who is handy with clay to make a little Dr. Smith figure for Kong to hold in his hand. "It was Zachary killed the Beast!"
