Wow! Love it. Probably overkill for me in terms of size but I got a few ideas. I specifically liked the extender arms going under the table and when you need the bars you lift them up to table height. Thanks for the video.

Cool idea about using small drill press to make holes for clamping... and also thanks for idea: was originally thinking I needed 5/8 inch holes for clamp dowels (like all the other tables) but forget that a 1/2 inch bolt provides alot of strength when welded well. I definitely will be using these two ideas as I just priced the pre-fab table tops with holes and they are like 480 dollars! Is the top 1/4 inch thick?

Approximate sizes as measured by eyeball: Plate 1500L x 800W x 10D Uprights 75 SHS 6.0 Baseplates 100 x 100 x 5 flat bar Top frame 65 x 35 RHS 3.0 on edge; centre on columns Top cross-members 35 SHS 3.0 @ 265mm c/c Bottom frame 65 x 35 RHS 3.0 on flat; 20mm offset from baseplate Bottom cross-member 35 SHS 3.0; locate at centre span Bottom shelf supports 25 x 3 flat bar Telescoping rails 40 SHS 2.0 outer; 35 SHS 3.0 inner Infeed / outfeed rails 40 SHS 2.0 on M10 threaded rod offstands Swing-out shelves 65 x 35 RHS 3.0 on edge Stabiliser legs M16 threaded rod I'm guessing overall height is around 800mm but you'll want to make it to suit you and your workshop. Inset from edge of plate to face of upright is 50mm to allow the 40 SHS infeed / outfeed rails to nest beneath it tidily. Note that the telescoping rails pretty much have to be 40 SHS 2.0 outer, 35 SHS 3.0 inner as that combo gives 1.0mm clearance ... no larger SHS sections telescope that nicely (they're either press fit or sloppier 2.0mm+ clearance). If you're building similar, consider having the infeed as shown but drop the outfeed rails down lower so you can sit a chop saw on the outfeed side, with the bed level with the table. I've had the chance to use this table a couple of times now. It's fun to whip out in front of people:) I can see what people are talking about when they say the legs are delicate, but they're design to support a "mostly" vertical load, not be torqued from the side or pushed back into place. If you just let the table open or close on it's own and don't force anything, it works great ru-vid.comUgkxyFZUPFEey-PuqsPMxqaykBhgA1LWxFHh Once it's set up, it's pretty solid. My only gripe would probably be related to the clamps provided. They're not the highest quality. They do the job, so no big deal, but they could be better. All in all, pretty cool gadget.
