With the chickens free ranging at times… you’re going to find a bush or hidden hole that they have decided to lay outside the run. It will take you by surprise. If they have found a spot they like they will actually wait until you let them out to lay there.

You need to go on an egg hunt. Start at the places you see them hanging out.
