Yeah, a lot of my sims wear glasses. Having to hunt for the same pair for the other outfits was soooooo annoying!

The fact you couldnt just give same glasses or hearing aids to all outfits was so annoying. Especially glasses as I would often had to re-check if I used same ones...

This pack would have been perfect for it. Woohoo elevators that doesn't have the spawning of sims would have been ideal.

@@bripatrick It doesn't block it, it just gives you another option. You can have it as a decorative element or you can have it as a gameplay feature, depending on what you want. That's what they mean when they refer to the water heaters etc. It's how it worked in For Rent - you could get actual working heaters, ACs, etc. or you could just have it as a prop with no gameplay functionality so you could use it as decoration if you wanted. IMO, it's an easy way of adding an extra item to the pack that doesn't require any more work on EA's part beyond adding it as a new item and writing a small description.

considering it already works, there's no point in restricting it. The elevator shouldn't act as a spawn in point for the whole lot anyways.

Same way you can disable dust system in Bust the Dust or disable weather in Seasons or Snowy Escape. Adding customization is always a good thing.

I think people were complaining so much that EA decided this would essentially give them more time to patch the DLC over time and everyone could just shut up and wait while they enjoy the new build & CAS stuff. I never bought Wedding Stories because I heard so many bad things about it. Now I will.

This way people can buy it for the world and B/B, and skip the buggy weddings. It's smart on their part. I'm thrilled. I haven't held a wedding since I got it. I've been having loooooong engagements. There's about to be a wedding boom in my game!

This is perfect, honestly. I specifically wasn't buying the pack because of the gameplay even though I really really wanted the CAS, B/B and world. Now I'll grab it the next time it's on sale. Sure it makes EA happy, because they get my money, but I'll also be happy

I actually have been lucky and dodged the worst of the my wedding stories bugs, but the new wedding styles are super involved. Sometimes it would be nice to have a quick, low key wedding without just eloping.

As an avid dine out user, it works most of the time and has since before the update. I genuinely don’t know why people constantly complain about it being super broken. The only bug I’ve had is it taking 6+ hours for Sims to get their food every once in awhile, but not very often. If the new update made it work better though that’s great. But yeah it hasn’t been broken for years now

I have rarely had bugs with Dine Out so I wonder why everyone complains about it 😅

@@ainilome I haven’t had an issue with Dine Out in years, not sure why people have issues with it. My sims meals always come out really fast.

I've also never had issues with Dine Out. I can think of 10 packs more broken than the one people keep complaining about.

It works for me and it's best to request a table instantly before other sims spawn and do it too. 😂

Oh god every time i make myself in the sims having to add my glasses to every single outfit being just auto is such a good thing

It also reminded me of how James always does Rags to Riches and how it makes sense to only have 1 set of clothes but you had to go searching for them a bunch of times 🙈

YESSS the glasses and the hearing aids and other medical wearables not transferring are (were?) the bane of my CAS life...!

I did marketing for real estate for a while and this definitely tracks with a lot of high rises and luxury properties I saw in Boston and Los Angeles. Often wildly inaccessible to anyone with physical mobility concerns.

Wow, do these companies still think people with physical disability can’t afford high end apartments? I get older buildings not having lifts but there is no excuse in this day and age to build expensive apartments and making them stairs only

The penthouse I was referring to was brand new and did not skimp elsewhere, but the rickety (seeming) tiny elevator honestly gave me a twinge of claustrophobia when testing it out. If Elmo used the place for the What Doesn’t Belong game, that bitty box would be the obvious answer lol

@@Alyse_bellI feel like they probably just see the penthouse as a house? Most people don’t have elevators on their house, and the rather wealthy individuals that do, usually have small pneumatic vacuum ones that take up much less space and are much more affordable. Most buildings aren’t built for disabled people in general, the super wealthy cohort of people who are in the market for a 3 story penthouse is already extremely small, I don’t think the developers really care about catering to the few super wealthy individuals in wheelchairs lol

The RoM portals have 3 portal entrances and 3 portal exits. They could easily just do the same with the elevators.

if you have mods, like the UI cheats expansion then that’s what broke your game. you need to update to the latest version

Yes!!! I’ve been wanting Tartosa so bad, but didn’t want to commit to changing weddings permanently to the MWS version but will now get MWS the next time its reasonably on sale.

@@persephonejames8374UI cheats currently has an updated version for the lovestruck update and as for mccc i have found that it still works and i don’t get that exceptions notification in game

Good call. I’m not using mods and it corrupted my save file and caused me to lose many hours of saved gameplay.

Same. Lost as least 20 hours of playtime despite it being saved. Thank goodness I didn’t lost the whole file of 3000 hours. It was bad enough to lose my house build that evening. I didn’t anticipate that a save file could be corrupted when a sim invites you on a date. Took hours to work out how to break the date.. trued deleting and putting new gallery lots in their place.. trued evicting all the corrupted households. Tried visiting the date site with an uncorrupted household. That cause a third household to become unplayable. 😑

You cannot travel with another sim either. Even if they are on the same lot as you.

Btw, what worked for me was to evict the original sim I was on when the corruption happened and then move them back into the lot. It should reset it, but be warned. I lost over 20 hours of gameplay and build saves. If it’s uploaded to your gallery the save should be fine, but my build-mode progress was not uploaded to my gallery library when this happened.

​@@Ulriquinho Maybe one day they will. In the meantime you could use the knowledge in your own game. Build lots with multiple elevators and an "emergency staircase" (in case of fires) - you know the workaround when editing the lot. For the Gallery/general populace (who may not be aware of the hack), just remove the extra elevators and make deco ones with doors or closets. People that download the lot can re-add extra elevators easily if they wish, because you left the shaft/space for them. It's easier to add them in if they were there in the initial design. People that don't know about the hack also have a functional build, because you built the "emergency staircase" - this now becomes the main staircase.

Me too and i’m scare that I lost my legacy challenge.

I’m losing basic gameplay hours and build/buy progress due to corrupted save file from accepting a date invite. I’m so pissed.

Btw.. what uncorrupted my character was evicting them and then moving them back into the lot. Be warned tho.. mine lost numerous hours of played time. No idea why or how. I had saved many times. I’m guessing it put my file back to when the first of these recent updates began, because I estimate that it was 20 hours of progress that I lost.

Yes, this happend to me too. As far as i know, it isn’t fixed yet.

@@tarsha if it happens try clicking manage worlds and "save and go to manage worlds" it glitches out and doesn't let me actually go to manage worlds and I have to force close the game but it DOES save when I do that even though it doesn't show the save screen

They only just made it so you could do a residential rental on a penthouse lot.
