Some in-depth how to videos would be a nice addition. Could even have farmers send em in, build a library. From troubleshooting the process of repairing a fan not working, to reattaching a disconnected auger line and things of the sort. Just an ambitious thought I've unsuccessfully tried myself to help train new hires.

Great video Sir, thank you for sharing the knowledge. I’m looking to build 2 more chicken houses the same size 66 x 700 on my land. I already have 12 small houses. May I ask which builder did you go with for these new mega chicken houses ? Finally, how long did it take to build each house ?
I will try to reach out to the grower. Last I knew he still had not built the houses. With the instability in the market at the time of the video, the bank would not let it mover forward. There are a number of builders out there. If you have a Georgia Poultry store in your area, they build houses. Hope that helps.
It depends on a lot of things. If you already own enough land to build some houses then that may be less expensive. If you have to buy the land AND build houses, it may be better to find an existing farm. There are many variables. First thing would be to check with the integrators closest to you and see what the requirements are then go from there. Hope that helps.

Hi Trey. Every integrator has different parameters on the houses they will contract. The first place you would need to start would be contacting the integrators in your area and seeing what their process is and what they allow for per house. These guidelines are often changing on new builds also. Thats really the best place to start. Sorry we couldn't be anymore help than that.
I really depends on size and the equipment that the integrator would want installed. Not too long ago it could start at $250k for one, but as of today I'm sure that probably wouldn't touch one.
Hey Patrick. The price to build a poultry house varies a LOT. There are so many factors that go into it, it's really hard to guess on price in general.
Hi Patrick. There would be no real way to give a price without knowing a number of things. First of all, the price of material is constantly going up. Secondly, you would have to know what size houses you are going to build. Would it be 40x500, 42x500, 60x500, 50x600, 60x600, 66x700, 60x700, 42x500, etc... There are many other varying sizes. The integrator you would sign a contract with and grow for, would be the one who would give you the size to build. They would also tell you what equipment, computers, specs, etc.... that your houses would need to be. In fact, that is probably the biggest variable. We have a video on farm finances that gives a little insight on how to get a loan. Finding one of these farm finance companies would be about as close to finding a price as anywhere. They are processing loans quite often and would know what a ball park price would be at the moment. The first thing I tell farmers who ask me how to get started, is to contact the integrators in you area. Tyson, Pilgrim's, Sanderson, Wayne Farms, etc... Tell them you are interested in growing birds and they will move you through the process. Hope that helps.
