Awesome video, and sad to see the RS3 lose this one barely, but it's now reaching the upper limits of it's potential. I believe even the fastest and most powerful RS3s in the world are at the upper 1200whp to low 1300whp. I would love to see just how far some one can take this little 5 cylinder and I believe 1400whp may be achievable one day, but that's about it with the car remaining somewhat streetable and resembling it's OEM beginnings. In the end there just isn't a replacement for displacement, as most of us know cars like the R8 can achieve well over 1400whp, some over 2,000whp. Still quite an achievement for the RS3/TTRS platform, very few sub 6 cylinder cars able to achieve these type of numbers with a semblance of streetabilty and OEM resemblance.

The R8 engine bay was on fire at the end! I hope it went out or got contained quickly? Awesome race, so close. The sleek shape of the R8 starts to really paid off, especially at those super high speeds while the more block like shaped RS3 requires a decent amount more power to overcome the added wind resistance. Perhaps if they raced again, the R8 engine would have a literal melt down. I hope everyone was safe. Awesome race

Very good race , the aerodynamics clearly started to show late in the race for the r8 .. the race was to 160 as agreed and until then it was an inches race … for the bozos saying rs3 let off u are clowns this is a fuckin sedan with aerodynamic of a brick not an airplane . 160 was the agreed race .
