I visited Ellora caves about 50 times😘😘😍😍😍 and every time i visit,my mind fill with the question and it's wonders.

Bro first thing is:- don't see it's engineering ...i don't have to say that u should ignore it but just watch carefully every wall of elora caves ...u will see entire Hinduism history from start to end ....each avtar of bramha ,vishnu and mahesh ,ramayan ,mahabharat all story is there . How kaliyuga started ,how earth made , how bramha ,vihnu ,mahesh came ,, everything has carved there .. i got amazed by they have carved whole vanar sena ,how ram went to lanka ,how krishna kill kansa , everything has carved there brilliantly ....each wall shows marvelous things...and one of the most brilliant thing is that almost 60% history only in Kailash nath tample walls ,and in other sub caves u will see about remaining history but still it has not completed .... I will specially recommend u go there to rewatch our true history , don't go there to watch beautiful engineering ... No one knows who made this , no one knows from which year it had been made , scientifically it is impossible for human beings , but i think that this carved things are not made by hands or stammer like things , it had been made by using different powerful vidyas , spirituality things ect ...

It was built during 757-783 AD by Krishna I who was the uncle of Dantidurga. Built during the 6th to 8th century in the Kalachuris period, the Hindu Caves were built in two phases. Caves 14, 15 , 16 were built in the Rashtrakuta period.

Kailasa Temple is built in such a way that it feels like the God Shiva-Parvati were traveling in their yana/ratha(/spaceship) and they saw the beauty of this place and they landed their spaceship and that spaceship itself is Kailasa temple. one more interesting fact is, kailas temple is symmetrical to its longitudinal axis, so much so that you cant find difference, its really amazing to built with such precision and planning at that time.

These were Constructed by Kannadigas in 6th to 8th centuries... Because there is a kannada literature written there ...
