I ride a small 2022 Salsa Mukluk. I had never been on a fat bike before this purchase. It has been an absolute pleasure to learn to ride on trails. I am a 55 year old 5’4” mother of 9. When my hubby suggested he buy me a fat bike, I was not sure I would be able to handle such a bike. My daughter has the same kind, and encouraged me that I could do this. I feel like a 10 year old boy splashing through puddles, getting muddy, and slicing through the snow. Highly recommend 10/10. This is just so much fun. I ride almost every day.
I just bought this brand new for $900.....if you're watching this and thinking of buying one search around...the biking industry is dying and they are getting rid of inventory
Beautiful bike! Thanks for the review, was in the market for my first fat bike recently, almost went with a Mukluk, but the Trek Farley 5 is the same price...and comes with a dropper post - not to mention Deore drivetrain, 27.5 x 4.5 tires and an AWESOME rear hub :) To each their own, cheers
Love the bike, and to be fair I prejudged the fat bike before I ever got one and said to self no way man but out curiosity I bought a mid level to try and now I cannot stay off the thing! All I can say to sum it all up is fun and adventure factor level 10+ Thanks for the video!
Just got this exact bike. Took it on a 16 mile jaunt through snow and ice and mud. Never felt like there were any conditions the bike couldn't handle. Rides lighter than 33 lbs.
Nice bike. My only critique though, is saying "It's gonna...." all the time. It's not "gonna have", it just "has". It sounds weird when you say "It's gonna" all the time. Saying it like that makes it sound like in the future it will have, but in fact it does have it right now.
I have trouble with my disk breaks in the snow they ice up bad and they dont work I stop with my feet lol but I'm riding in -20 to -50 weather kida hard on the bikes lol
I will never understand the concept of a fat bike. It's meant for an electric motor for riding in nasty muddy winter winter. But to pedal something like this....come on. Just silly. Buy a dirt bike.
Oh man, how far off you are. Sure dirt bikes are fun, but this is nothing at all like it or even attempting to replace it. Fat Bikes roll way faster than you would think and are incredibly fun on normal trails. Little bouncy and you change your lines so it makes an old trail new again. This one can carry so much gear for exploring and finding adventure in all sorts of terrain.
