This looks exactly what I'm after, could you provide an approx price range for this kind of job to give me a feel, I've no idea if I'm looking at 20 to 100k. Cheers
Hi Richard. Thanks for watching and the great feedback. It will depends upon where you live and the exact details but the fully finished Hip to Gable loft shown in the video is likely to cost in the region of £70k.
Amazing build, looking to do something similar, what is the height of your dormer room inside. Architect gave us drawings for 2m height, I’m 6ft thinking it may not be suitable for me.
Thanks for watching and the feedback. The internal height is 2.4m which makes the room feel very spacious. 2.0m is low and will make the room feel restricted. You should see if it possible to raise the internal height by building a cold deck roof (insulation in the rafters) or lowering the ceilings on the floor below.
@@connorflux9678 Hi Connor. Thanks for watching. 2.2m is sufficient to create a living space but will feel a little low and constricted. It may be possible to gain a little more height by using a cold deck roof - check out the video we posted which shows how this is constructed.
May I ask what is the door measurements in this video you used for the bedroom and bathroom? To meet building regulations, will 30 inch width be right for the bedroom and 27 inch for the bathroom?
Really good video. Out of curiosity do you have ventilation in the eves storage. I had a loft conversion done and noticed condensation on the sloped ceiling so I keep the access doors open now
Thanks for the feedback and for watching Asif. We have built cross ventilation into the build structure above the insulation on the sloped roof to prevent any future issues. It is a good point though as mould can grow in an area that does not have ventilation.
