Next time an awd car bogs like that, either redline launch it or shorten 1st gear a bit. Also your gears all the way through were a bit too long. try final ratio of 3.73 or higher too

By shortening the gears you apply more power off the launch and will not bog down. Also turning off the clutch will stop the bogging down aswell. I used to sell tunes on the store front! please upvote so he can see!

hey bro I own this car and race it on the 1/4 Mile in Germany. I can say to you that the mods in forza are very bad to improve the HP. You need a bigger exhaust with downpipe, so you can make 500hp+. for about 700$ on Ebay. Than just use a better Fuel Pump Walbro 255 for 100$. Use a better blow off and use a electric boost pressure regulator like greedy for about 250$ a air intake k&n filter for 50$ and check the boost and Lambda by boostgauge 30$ and lambda afr gauge for 150$ and a fuelpressure regulator for 100$ or less. And you need a big Front Mount Intercooler kit for about 300$. Set up the car with fuelpressure and boostpressure regulator and you will see 400 horses at 1.1 Bar ~ 16 Psi Boost. so in reality you only need 1700 $ to make 400 Horses ;-)

All you had to do was raise your tire pressure back up! Coulda done it AWD no problem.

Good to see in the comments I wasn't the only one screaming tuning tips at the screen. All of the awd cars I've played with in FM6 big down like this without tuning. Go to slicks, increase tire pressure, and bump your FDR to 4+. I run a lot if my awd grip cars on basically max FDR. The awd can more than take it. The only reason to not do that in this situation is the top speed. Running A class, you rarely need more than like 170.

When you say at 11:23, "Its got so much grip when you release the clutch it doesn't have enough power, so it just stalls." Hello? It has 700+hp, just launch harder off the line. It would have worked as well with the Evo from the other video you were talking about. That's the beauty of AWD cars with high horsepower, you can launch hard and they'll grip up, providing they have the tires to suit. Just a thought +Gingium.

When the car bogs down like that, you can try to build up turbo pressure to eliminate turbo lag at the launch, that could be why the car bogs down

4WD system distributes power to 4 wheels which means instead of having 50/50 on the wheels, its more like 25/25/25/25, thus more accelleration is needed to launch without killing the engine. Because more rubber is in contact with the ground, you can afford to use more accelleration for launch without wheelspinning.

This was fun to watch... First off, he said that the 3000GT was hard to find in manual. Funny thing is that the VR-4 (twin turbo version) didn't come with anything but manual. They also aren't as unreliable as people think. I know a lot of people that have 250k+ miles on their 15-20 year old boosted cars, some of which are thoroughly modified with stock internals. My '92 VR-4 made it to 130k miles before I sold it with no issues. Now I have mint '99 VR-4 which hasn't had any problems, granted it only has 40k miles on it. Then when it comes to the game, there were plenty of things that could have been done to improve the AWD launch. The problem didn't have as much to do with Mitsubishi as it did with the tune. He didn't even try to change the power split from the stock 45/55 to something like 30/70 or 20/80. At least it was entertaining.

With this car you should launch at 3000 revs. It is simple to figure out what revs to launch at. Just floor it and you will see the rev counter drop to a certain revs before any power kicks In. Whatever the rev counter was on when the power kicked in is the optimal revs to launch it at. Also, try to shorts first gear. If it still is too grippy try increasing camber and tire pressure.

Today we try to build a car that is faster than the Pagani Huayra for 1/10th of the price! Our car of choice is the Mitubishi 1000GT! Will it beat the Pagani? Hey gingium I race dirt bikes and one thing I've found out when your trying to get the hole shot or in your case the launch I've found that if you rev it a bit lower and then slip the clutch out and then hammer on it it's a bit faster than revving it really high and just totally dropping the clutch. Just a thought. Love your vids man keep up the good work

It's the turbo. It needs to spool up and then the engine has a loss of torque past peak which comes really low in the rpms. What you want is a much more consistent torque curve that will not drop off at high rpms.

2. no need to install race engine block because the stock block can hold 1000hp - it is a very good engine block casting from japan. but its true that you need better pistons and rods if you want to achieve more than 500hp. Main thing next is the fuel support to go over 600hp you need a second fuel pump and 1000ccm injectos or at least 630ccm siemens deka injectors. if you go over 600hp you need a Fuel Programmable ECU like Megasquirt. The Main thing to get 1000hp is the turbocharger. use two Garret GTX30 Turbochargers and the car will see 1000hp. but I recommend to use two GTX28 Turbochargers with faster spooling. You may only get 800hp but the car is accelerating better because of better turbo spool. Without Race Intercooler, the 3000GT couldnt handle more than 350hp!!! The engine will break in reality if you use the stock intercoolers :P Race/Oil Cooling is stock in the VR4 3000GT or european models. flywheel and clutch should be improved in reality too. Lowering Springs cost only 130$ and they will work fine with the stock suspension. use german Vogtland Springs or Japanese Tein springs. they both will work fine. no need to install coilovers because you can set up the stock dampers with electronics ;-) it was enjoy to watch your video ;-)

Put slick tires on, 4wd, and first two gears should be shorter. First should be very short, so that tires spin a bit, and second gear has to be shortened to compensate shortening of the first one. You will own Huayra on 1/4 mile. 1/2 mile would be better with FR layout.

I think enough people have yelled at you to lower first gear and redline it for the launch, but I'll try to be less redundant and more helpful than that. If Forza's physics engine works at all like real life, then consider momentum. You have engine's momentum translated to the car's initial momentum when the clutch is released. The speed the car achieves from this determines what RPM the engine is at and thus if it bogs at launch. So on the engine side of things, you can either increase engine speed or increase engine mass. Increase launch revs, raise the redline if you hit it (does upgrading the valvetrain do that in this game still?), or increase mass by reverting to the stock flywheel. Then consider the car's momentum. To get the most velocity, you can reduce the weight of the car more if possible. And if the speed you land at is still not high enough to reach the powerband, shorten the first gear ratio to move it down. Or you could go more drastic and use a worse clutch (not the worse transmission) or reduce tire grip by switching compounds or increasing tire pressure. Lastly, if you reach a point where you're actually overwhelming the tires finally, try dabbling with the suspension. Reduce tire pressures, reduce spring stiffness, and reduce the rebound rate. There's a reason drag racers are so obsessed with a car "squatting", as there's a whole bunch of things this does, mainly stretching the launch event over a longer time so the maximum force the tires experience is reduced, thus preventing traction from being broken. Good luck, and hopefully this reduces your misguided beliefs about AWD Mitsubishis. Maybe a rematch in the future?

The Huayra isn't overpriced in my opinion. Maybe in the game it is. But in real life, things like exclusivity count towards a car's price tag as well, and it's pretty hard to beat in that regard. And let's not foget that it'll do over 230mph and has one of the absolute coolest interiours ever.

If your car has more hp and weights less, it all comes down to gearing and TUNE! I love how you have 85k subs and do not know to make your 1st gear shorter..get real.

Its AWD stock. When you were drag racing with it and put street tires, you should have just redlined it from the start. It would have hooked up fine.

One thing the didn't add to forza 6 with the 3000gt was it's ability to drop the transfer case on the ground when the engine modes exceeded 500hp

Its all about Power to Weight ratios. find the formula and use it when choosing the next set of cars.

You said it's hard to find one in manual? I didn't know how to drive stick when looking for one of these, and so I forced myself to learn because I could only find them with a standard transmission. I had it pearl white and ended up having to sell it for personal reasons. I may get another vr4 3kgt soon

They only come manual for the VR4. My 95 VR4 has been almost as reliable as my 4Runner. IRL I've burnt all 4 tires with anything above 4k launch near sea level, so bogging at 7 is odd... stock turbos/injectors.

Make 1st waaaay short, then even out 2nd and third so the rpm is in power band when you shift. Launch just under redline so it isnt bouncing off limiter

What software are you using here?

You should shorten the gears and have more power to the rear wheels, maybe 25/75. And also rev pretty high so the turbos spool up.

Someone may have already mentioned this but the 3000GT VR4's only came with a standard transmission.

When I build and tune a car, I never screw with the gears. My build of that car (in Forza 4 mind you) launches great. Flies away from even LMP-1 cars. Never played Forza 6 so I don't know if it's just that game or what

It's a Mercedes Benz AMG engine, it's much more of a "performance art " kinda piece Plus it got a track time of 01:13.8 on Top gear I think the Pagani is a pretty awesome car lol defiantly the most beautiful hyper car

redline it and spin a little if you can't launch. awd spin less than rwd so a redline launch wont kill your speed much

Unreliable huh, well I'll argue with that since mine is still running nice and it has well over 150k miles. The only thing I had to fix was a leak from the seals and that was easily fixed for $40.

Put your favorite TE37's on there. That'll help it launch ;)

Stop feathering the acceleration before the launch, lower the gear ratio on 1st, widen it on final, and it should make up for the rest. but for god sake, RED LINE THAT THROTTLE. Bounce it off the rev limiter and you will have a perfect launch everytime. SPECIALLY with AWD.

Diff settings would of helped drastically.
