I'm a Bahamian but every where I go in foreign they take me for Jamaican, them think everyone from the Caribbean is a Jamaican. One love, one heart, one people, lol serious ting.
Yes Iyah. Strictly. We'jus'drap'it'a'way. This is how a festival song suppose to sound. Reggae beat haffi'deh'innah'it. This song repping'tuh'diih'heights. Love my people, my culture, nuff, nuff. We are such a blessed people, some of us can't realize it. We have to continue to promote, Love, Peace, and Unity among each other. The jealously, and bad mind mentality have to go. One luv. ❤💚💛❤💚💛🌞🌞🌴🌴🌴🌴🎤🎤🎵🎵🎶🎶🎼🎼🎺🎺🎷🎷🎹🎹
starbwoi 1 the ignorance in you shows there it’s lot to be proud of culture , food , tradition . Do you know anything about Jamaican culture itself ? Obviously you don’t cause if you did you know what there is to be proud of .
starbwoi 1 and if you belive there’s nothin to be proud of don’t listen to the song and take your ignorance and disgusting attitude somewhere else . and don’t try to bring down people who are proud of there country dispite . the struggles in this third world country .
I am noticing that Kenyans love every one and every thing apart from them selves. Kenyan women will bonk a dog but not a Kenyan man. Kenyans hate them selves. This is some thing I am noticing though out the years.
Hello. A'dat'miih'seh''tuh. Back to the basics for real. Hopefully with the Gagamel's, return he can make them see the light. Let's pray. Our music has to stay authentic, and not watered down for commercial purposes. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I listened to all the festival songs thus far and I think this one is the winner. Not because it's sung by Buju but because it stuck to the culture. You heard that reggae beat and felt the vibe which truly captures the Jamaican culture. All the songs were awesome.

I am thankful and proud to be a Jamaican. We should all welcome our heritage and esteem each other to empower our Island, instead of constantly fighting and selling out each other. I thank you Buju Banton for this song. Bless up JAMAICA! !!

If you are not a jamaican, and you watch and listen to this song. You will definitely wish you were a jamaican. ❤👍🏼i am so proud of Buju. But most of all, i am proud to be a Jamaican. This is a winner. ❤❤❤❤
Now yuh gimme a song fi identify mi self as a jamaican living abroad. Beautiful definitions of the characteristics of a Jamaican. Each definition I can relate and identify with. When ppl ask where I'm from my response use to be Brigadier song,"down in Jamaica where mi born and grow a use to go to school and play ti tay toe . Sometimes I'd say from Bob Marley country. Bro we are one! I am Jamaican am I love Hatian people. You guys are special people. I live in the US and always appreciate the fact that y’all fuk up the French army! One love and respect Bro!
Based on my overall analysis of the 3 festival songs, Buju Banton's festival song unquestionably takes home the 1st place trophy,🏆! My selection candidly has nothing to do with his legendary superstar status, it is just the plain conspicuous truth of whose song is the best. In fact, his song includes all the contents that identify a Jamaican in reality, which makes it stands out, not to mention the conviction and vocal which compliment the song title and identities listed, as well as, the authentic organic Reggae Jamaican vibes that captivate my interest as it relates to the relaxing feeling I get from listening and watching the video! 👍🎶🎧🎤💃💃💃💯♥️♥️♥️🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲 Admittedly, the two young ladies songs sound good, but Buju song conquer when it comes to the composition, identity contents of Jamaican people and the melody. His song is more melodious; it's like I can't stop singing it, as it is infectious and catchy. In comparison to the two (2) ladies, I would definitely give Sakina Deer 2nd place, as she is closer to Buju in terms of her video presentation of Jamaica, as for Shuga her song sounds too much like Soca, which is not Jamaican musical genre and it should solely be Jamaican festival songs, therefore, the music ought to sound like Jamaican genre of music only not Soca music. Nevertheless, I like Shuga from Digicel Rising Stars competition but I have to be fair by speaking the truth!
Well well well. You hit the nail on the head Miss Tanya. Buju's, song has all the authentic elements, that represents a Jamaican, festival song. Yes the other song you mentioned that have the Soca beat, that is not Jamaican. We are Reggae Music, nuff, said. Great comment, love how you broke it down. A lot of thought went into the composition. 👍👍👍👍👍❤💚💛❤💚💛
This song is very unique which makes it different than most of the other Festival contenders.. It rings truth to whom a Jamaican is:->. Beautiful, God Fearing, Industrious, Struggle but Resilient, Kind, Free Spirit, Gone thru so much but still smiling and dancing to the sweet Reggae music. There is a Jamaican in every corner of the earth. 🇳🇱, 🇧🇪
True, true, so true. When will they wake up and realize how blessed we are. They live in Paradise and don't know it. Peace, Love and Unity miih'seh. Bless up. Great comment.
@Beverley Hohn Chang You never have anything good to say. Every where you make a comment it's always negative. That is why the world is the way it is, folks like you. Take several seats. We know who we are, nuff said. Stop hating. You need prayers.
This is my new anthem!! This is what festival time in Jamaica needed. Artist like Buju show love respect and admiration to our beautiful girl Jamaica 🇯🇲. Now I hope this will inject the well needed love and attention festival time needs to celebrate our culture. Out of many one people! No race or colour you are just Jamaican.
The song is making my night and running through my veins. He is a legend and I always listen to his music a lot. Am from Ghana and am always happy to see black people go high n high
