Buju was something else. I remember hearing him for the first time and wondering to myself how a 19 year old could say all these things. Blew my forking mind

Terror Fabulous give him this song because of the love me browning song him sing and the black woman them never like it. Because him want all off the fam from the song him mad out the youth.. why u think the youth jus stop sing so?
It's wasn't ment..like that...ppl take it out of context and bring to another level..buju ment no harm...u have to be Jamaican to understand what I mean..typically we most often refer to gurls as browing...and dark skin gurl with out anyone being offended....but as per usual..the USA...is the cause of all these problems....
Why are you blaming the USA? I'm pretty sure anyone who isn't Jamaican would think browning means anyone with brown skin, you'd have to be Jamaican to understand that browning means "lighter skin". So it was the woman of Jamaican who rightly saw that it was a discriminatory song.
I lost respect for him after he sang about the browning which led to self-esteem issues and skin bleaching. This song was only a way of making up for that. Good song though.
But that’s not on him!! Women need to learn to have high self esteem! Nobody’s opinion should bother you enough for you to bleach! Stop projecting and stop blaming!!
