I am Rwandan but I have been in the southern countries...their traditional dances are so amazing..they strengthen my love for motherland as well as My Africans..been in Botswana and I took part in traditional dance as a student and it's the best that ever happened to me!! love motherland
They’re do have same dialects with Shona Karanga people from Masvingo. The dance we call it mhande, the drum beat, dance, feet movement is the same. That’s where I come from
Over 90% of the people here they're not Kalanga, They're Batswana. In Botswana being Kalanga doesn't necessarily mean that you dance Hosana, You can dance Setapa and visa versa...
I've seen that lady singing lead dance, the most amazing thing ever, jumping as high as the impala. she made me fall in love with kalanga music.I'm still looking for that video to date
They way she turns that cow tail like an AK47 is a way of remembering over 20 000 innocent Ndebele & Kalanga civilians that were massacred by Robert Mugabe and his regime of Mnangagwa and company during Gugurahundi
I recognise that lady singing lead. there was a video with her in it I watched around 2001 ,is it with this group, does anyone know cos I've been looking for it since?
