Bulbophyllum lobbii
“Encontrado em Bornéu, Indonésia, Malásia e Filipinas em altitudes de 200 a 2.000 metros em florestas de terras baixas e montanhosas em troncos e galhos principais de árvores como uma espécie epífita unifoliada, de pequeno a médio porte, de crescimento quente a frio, é proveniente e tem bem pseudobulbos espaçados com uma bainha persistente que se divide em fibras amarelas e carrega uma única folha apical e coriácea que floresce no verão em uma inflorescência ereta de 15 cm de comprimento e flor única que surge de um nó no rizoma. A flor única, grande e perfumada que surge em cada novo pseudobulbo é mantida no meio da folha.
Esta espécie é uma orquídea de crescimento quente a frio e ficará melhor montada ou em um vaso com um meio bem drenado e água e fertilizante regulares, mas tenha cuidado. À medida que os novos pseudobulbos se desenvolvem, fungos podem ocorrer facilmente devido à irrigação excessiva.”
Tenho esta planta há uns 7 anos ou mais, nunca floresceu isto embora tenha tido um crescimento bastante apreciável, montada numa cortiça desenvolveu um ecossistema com fetos, avencas, musgo, finalmente vem uma floração e bastante apreciável, estou muito contente !!

The single, large, fragrant flower that appears on each new pseudobulb is held in the middle of the leaf.
This species is a warm to cool growing orchid and will do best mounted or in a pot with a well-draining medium and regular water and fertilizer, but be careful. As the new pseudobulbs develop, fungus can easily occur due to excessive watering.”
I have had this plant for about 7 years or more, it has never flowered, although it has had quite appreciable growth, mounted on a cork it has developed an ecosystem with ferns, maidenhair, moss, finally it is flowering and it is quite appreciable, I am very happy!!
