Looked more Macedonian to me than Bulgarian. Very traditional at first, with the groom and his father arriving on horseback to "steal" the bride from her family. The singer is wonderful and the hand embroidered heavily decorated costumes are a lot of hard work. Also, any dance with Opanci gets me immediately as an old Balkan dancer from the SF East Bay. Maybe do a bit more research on the Macedonian question and the origin of the modern day ethnic Macedonian identity. In Bulgaria "Macedonian" is a regional identity. Just like people from the region of Thrace are Thracian regionally and Bulgarian ethnically, I am half Macedonian, but I'm 100% Bulgarian. The regional Macedonian identity of Bulgarians in the region of Macedonia has existed before the modern-day ethnic Macedonian identity. So yes, the dance is Macedonian - Bulgarian from the region of Macedonia. Just like me. Educate yourself before you spread misinformation on the internet. It's quite damaging and disrespectful to the history of Macedonia and people from the region, who still identify as Bulgarian.
