Not a chance unfortunately. I read the CEO's comments in the in-flight magazine and it's clear they plan on staying a regional airline. I wonder if they have even researched the demand for flights to the US. Also, it's clear they don't want to join any major alliance - keeping relations to the code-sharing agreements they have.
"Hopefully the new planes will bring us good luck. Does someone know if Bulgaria Air has plans to buy larger airplanes? New destinations?" Doubtful on the larger airplanes, but new routes may open up.
Ivaylo Ivanov i think there were plans for them buying a 2 757’s and opening 2 routes to Dubai and to Singapore via Astana and another vía at Beijing. 5 A321’s with 3 routes Varna to Madrid Burgas to Saint Petersburg and Plovdiv to Malaga. And a 787 with a route to JFK. I don’t know if they will be able to afford all of those planes and destinations though.
