So how to get to Bulgaria by train? ✨
The train departs from Halkalı Train Station in Istanbul at 20:00 every day and arrives in Sofia around 10:00 in the morning. You can buy tickets according to different classes for this journey, which takes approximately 15 hours. Ticket prices are as follows: 31.12 Euros per person in a 4-person couchette car, 36.12 Euros per person in a 2-person sleeping car, and 66.68 Euros per person in a 1-person sleeping car. I had a very comfortable journey by choosing a 2-bed wagon. I paid 1,050 TL for a 2-person sleeping car and included my overnight stay in my journey.
What I can say as the disadvantage of the train is; Tickets can only be purchased from international train stations (Sirkeci, Halkalı).
