Buliisa land wrangle - Minister Mayanja orders arrest of Kaahwa Francis, other gov’t officials 

To Buliisa district now where the news from there is about a significant land dispute involving allegations of illegal evictions, torture, and deprivation of rights of residents by powerful individuals, including businessman, Kaahwa Francis.
Residents from various sub-counties, including Butiaba, Buliisa, Ngwedo, and Biso, have raised concerns over their forced removal from over seven square miles of land, denying them access to benefits from the nearby oil fields.
