Bulk Create Your Canva Designs | Canva Tutorial 

This is a fantastic tutorial - thank you Lashonda! I would love to see something about how you can best utilize this for creating carousels for industry tips? I'm a new social media manager and I'm looking for ways to optimize my flow and I'm under the impression that using bulk create / linking data to elements might help me not overthink so much when I'm designing. I would want to set up my .csv to apply to elements in Canva in a way that: 1) I pick a template that at least seems to be compatible with the data I want to import / has enough elements per page to correspond to the data I want to link to them per slide 2) Is able to make each slide a bit unique so I don't have to go overkill moving things around and changing colors, adding new elements so everything doesn't look the same, as with using the bulk import to create a team's business cards - since swiping through the same design, with only the text being different, would get "boring" fast. I hope that makes sense. Basically my issue is that I struggle to find a template or design and find myself getting worked up over little details, having to rework pre-planned text/phrases just to fit templates and try different things out. It gets to be too much at times. I think bulk create could allow me to try a bunch of different ideas in succession so I could settle on something quicker. Thank you for your time! Thank you for the fantastic tutorial! I would very much like to see this Bulk Create expanded. For example, what does it look like when you have to go back at a later date and add a new name for example. How do you schedule a string of five slightly different social posts? How do you save the data that you entered manually so you don't have to go back and rebuild the whole thing again? Despite everyone saying how easy this is, my experience so far has been painful - and I'm not sure why. I have built four different folders, one for each county. Each county has 3 - 8 different posts. Each post has two areas where the copy changes. I have built an Excel spreadsheet that serves as the campaigns dashboard which includes the unique copy. I have built just as you showed and it works the first one, but not the subsequent ones. In short, I have 24 posts divided into four counties, each with a unique copy that needs to be scheduled multiple times through 60 days. At this point, the Bulk Create feature is a poor version of a CRM system.- I bring this to you because I absolutely love your teaching style and am in hopes you can teach me. :)

Lashonda, PLEASE HELP! When using an Excel spreadsheet file with a title column, a description column and an image column I export a .csv file but I can't get the image link to work in canva. Canva does not recognize the .jpg =HYPERLINK or =IMAGE expressions in Excel. How can I do a bulk upload from a .csv of 400 thumbnails, titles and descriptions? I don't want to have to import each image separately.

Maybe you can help us. I explain a problem that we are facing. We are using Canva Pro, we are a real Real Estate agency that works with other partner agents. We have a set of documents that we collect in the Canva folder. Every time when new agent joins us. We have to manually copy each of these documents and their own logo and QR code (each of these new agents has its out QR code and logo). I tried to use bulk-create it doesn't work the way we try to achieve. And for some reason, I cannot copy a folder. Hope you can help us to find solution) Thank you!

I am trying to do this without having text boxes in the image template. Aim is to create post for RU-vid. I do not see the CONNECT DATA option though.

I need to figure out how to separate multiple designs from one design page. I was using the AI to create designs and I didn't know any way to put them all in separate designs without losing the designs that I had been creating in the AI because I was creating variants so I was trying to get a bunch of different designs that I could then separate into separate designs but I have no idea how to do it

I love that you can have all the names input for place cards. However, I have four up (to be able to print out on Avery 5302 small tent cards). How can I get it to put the next name in the next card rather than inserting the same name in all four cards and then a separate page for each name (four cards each)? Do I need to just create a single place card and have it bulk create that way? If so, how can I get those to go four-up to print out on the Avery sheets?

Hello, Does anyone know if it is possible to upload images to bulk create using a CSV file? I want to upload several hundred pictures to bulk create. It works by manually entering the data, but it's not efficient to select every image individually. Instead I tried to do it with a CSV file. However, I don't know how to format the csv file so that CANVA recognize that it has to import a picture and not text. I tried naming the columns of the csv file, Image, Picture... However Canva alway recognize the picture names as text and they cannot be linked to a Frame. Is there a way to tell CANVA that the CSV value is the path to an image?

After I make my table, and get to step 3, when I right click my image there is no database option to connect to.

I have 100 images. The pages have to have a margin of 0,375 on each side. The images take all the inside of the page within margins. How can one put all the 100 images in 100 pages with few clics instead of having to enter each picture and expand to on each side?

Hi, do you know how to get latin characters to work with the bulk option? I keep getting (?) where it should be a character. Also, it's supposed to create "184 pages" but the final file comes with 74 pages only. 😥

I have list for the Name Badges 2000 in no. but Canva just allows me to create designs for just 300 people. Is there any way I can merge 2000 people in one go?

Is there a way to see it generate a new page on the same file? it's frustrating to see it create 20 new files in canva, one for every single field of data

this is 10x more time consuming than just changing ones name. and honestly this has nothing to do with the word "bulk"... weird canva feature.

The "connect data" only appears for me with text. It doesn't appear when i have an image in my design??

There is a drawback while create in bulk - we have to adjust manually text , in data some text is long and some is very short - it should be auto adjusted accordingly to the text size

Hi, thanks for the video. I am looking for a way to import 20 images (all at once) right onto the canva on the right. I am currently click 1 by 1 and its taking too long. Is there anyway where I can use the bulk import feature but only to import the images onto the canva (design) side so that I can avoid clicking and dragging 20 times at once. Please note that I do not need text on the canva its just the image. I know how to otherwise "connect data and import" but I do not know how to import an image only. Thank you so much.

LaShonda! Thank you for this video! It's a relief to know I can do this kind of thing in Canva. I have done a test of your video and I'm super excited to use this for our upcoming fundraiser, to create the name tags for each golfer at the benefit. But I'm wondering if I can populate a template from Avery Labels (5395) that has the names tags set up for 8 labels to an 8.5x11 sheet. This would be a similar thing if you wanted to set up several business cards on an 8.5x11 to run several to cut apart. I hope I'm making sense!

I have the same 8 elements on 1 page in my canva document. Does this batch upload only work by creating 1 page from each row that is in my csv file? I'm trying to make flash cards with 8 on 1 page, but I would like the batch upload to add the next row in my csv file to the next element on my 1 page using the same data field? Its like the Next format code when using mail merge in word/excel.

I really wish this worked for me. Bulk Create either adds a ton of unnecessary pages at the end of my project, or it duplicates the same page over and over again and not the one(s) I actually need. And, I've followed everyone's direction step by step to get the same results each time.
