@@danielmallory4687I had a home phone plugged into the wall that had speed dialing. Don't think it has anything to do with Pre cellphone Era. Regardless of the "proper" terminology. It would have been a nice QOL feature for a number you have to call multiple times every play through.
@@hazmat078I also had it but I remember it was relatively new… In 1955 the computer technology behind the speed dial wasn’t marketable and the telephone network also wasn’t ready for it… Speed dial also weren’t something that worked with a rotary dial to practicly save a number it needed buttons (first button Telefon 1964) I can’t find it but I would think speed dial became a regular thing in the 80‘s with the big jump to ISDN But in a world with those monsters a separate line would be absolutely logical
True, that part of the game gets pretty annoying, especially if you're expected to play 100 games for one of the achievements. You'd be calling them up about 600 times! The D.D.D should just automatically come when you hit the danger button.
@@Karma-vo7bqI see where you come from. And i agree with you; but I think they should at least keep the phone there for excitment of younger audiences. Much as myself, in fact. I cant argue too much since I dont really know anything about the phone, But its a nice addition to the game. Dont get me wrong, it would be pretty nice to have the D.D.D. come as soon as you press the DANGER button.
Same!! Imagine if two people could come at the same time and the neighbor could be like “I brought a guest”, then you’d have to find out if one of them, both, or neither actually were döples.
Sometimes if you know they are a doppelgänger or want to double check and if you tell them why aren't you on todays list even though they are they will sometimes say "I wasn't on todays list because...." that's another way to verify they are a doppleganger lol
@@140kittykatin some cases they change their story though. Like their entry request will say they we're visiting family but when you ask them why they're not on the list they say they had to leave due to an emergency at work.
The D.D.D. are not killing the Doppels, they're collecting them because they failed. It's a training camp for Doppels. That's why you see Peach so much.
@SL3EPW4LK3R im assuming the way they 'catch' the doppels is fatal for normal humans. maybe they have special equipment like the ghostbusters or something lol
it would be fun if the appearances of people we're randomized, so sometimes a moustached fellow would be a correct one, or maybe someone didnt use glasses in one playtrough 🤔. I'm guessing fully randomized people are coming in the other modes that are not out yet.
Really wish you'd have trolled the doppelgangers more. When you catch them, question them about the list - that's when they sometimes break their masquerade, then maybe check off everything on the list to tell them they passed, then send them to the DDD anyway.
Nothing happens then - if you mean the DDD. They just tell him to "Call when it's an emergency." He did it in a previous part I think - or I saw someone else do it.
Getting confirmation as well. Like with the sister's. If Elenoi is on the list and Selenne isn't he can confirm if Selenne is home by calling, even if the Elenois has a third eye or extra arms lol. Gathering information is a main point in the game
