If you know anything about coding it easy to do something, then have another layer just for show and effect which is easier than making the wheel actually work. It has already been determined what you got instantly the wheel is just for show and to add a gambling effect that gives the illusion of participation and makes you more likely to try again. There should be a term that describes this effect but Idk it atm, the only thing I can think of that is similar is security theater.

It's such a scam. I started playing Dota around TI4, the compendium I bought then was such a good value for money. Last year I bought compendium just to get the unique map. For that one you had to be level 125, so I worked out my budget, grinded to level 71 and then bought levels to get the map. Now they put the map even further away. Such BS, I don't have time to play enough dota to grind all the way and I don't play enough Dota to make paying for it worth it.
