This album was exactly what I expected, pretty good, a return to form but they aren't reinventing the wheel, but I don't want that from bullet, this was pretty on par with what I expected
Not sure if you listened to it, but Parasite is longer on the album and so is Shatter. Saw you watched the music videos which dont have the full versions so wanted to let you know. Love the videos keep it up brother
Imo the last 2 tracks are the best ones. The vocal work on this album is so good, they brought back interesting and catchy melodies along with intense quality screams. But damn, riffwise it leaves a lot to be desired. That's why I think the heavier tracks suffer the most. They're instrumental focused while the instrumental isn't a strong point. But the atmospheric/melodic guitar work was nice and vocals were good. The best album they've released in YEARS and it could be a pivotal point if they play on the strenghts they've shown here. But yeah, it's hard when The Poison is still their best material BY FAR
Bro, i read a post on reddit about bullet's musical evolution and the post shows charts about how they used to be more musical than rhythmic (i think they are more rhythmic now) which makes really interesting
I completely agree and would also add that the lyrical content continues to be a bit subpar. How many times can you sing about relationships that have left you depressed? They have a few songs that stray from the path but overall their lyrics tend to be teenage angsty and at times quite cheesy if you ask me. A very talented band, just wanted a bit more. Love that they brought back the aggression and screams though. The drumming and vocals were a strong point on the record.
Man I love your videos, but your review of this album was disappointing. It may be true that this wasn't the most original work we've seen, but it was still an absolute blast from start to finish. There wasn't a bad song. In fact, I don't think there is a song that I wouldn't put on repeat.
@@shadowfusea6273 I disagree with you saying that he is a bad reviewer. I feel he is one of the best on RU-vid for the genre. I was just saying that I was disappointed that he didn’t seem to see or highlight the beauty of this album, even if the album wasn’t the most original thing in the world.
@@charliereynolds7337 Talking about difference of opinions. I get that he lost interest on the album which i consider it is a matter of what he likes. Look, i enjoyed this album a lot (it's the album i have enjoyed the most in this year) but hot take; this is because i am not really into bands like ice nine kills, spiritbox, Whitechapel like most of metal fans. I listen to their albums but i didn't enjoyed them like bullet's because i didn't have the urge to listen to them, I did it in a more causal way
Speaking of opinions. Believe me, I've been trying to watch this guy do reactions and stuff but it seems like his liking to other bands isn't really that wide. He would only like things if it were BMTH or Architects. When it come to a different taste of metal, he can't seem to really get into it so much. Feels like, he just reacts to other subgenre/artists for the sake of the channel.
BFMV is back in a big way! Brutally heavy but melodic where you can actually remember the choruses. Only downside of this CD is it may be too heavy...listening to the entire CD makes you feel like you were in a fight and lost. Punches you in the face right from the start and never stops. Love the riffs and guitar solos which are back. GREAT CD!!!!
I really think they need to be locked into a sound proof room with a speaker that only plays the poison and hand of blood. Felt I needed to explain why I loved hand of blood so much. For one the intro having the guitars buzz to life straight into a riff that one is not only instantly recognizable but also amazing to hear. And then we get the "OH!" Straight into a heavy riff that slams back to a slower riff with matt's clean vocals ending in screaming from all 3 vocalists. And basically that formula repeats. The lyrics also are catchy. 4 words to choke upon imo has a similar formula.
What I struggle to understand is how does this “album reaction” hold any value at all in the first place? Let’s sit at home behind a microphone and computer and critique the work of professionals. On the other hand, I’m so glad I can enjoy most music and genres for what they are and not let the little things bother me. Very impressive that you can point out that a breakdown is coming before it starts tho! 👏

yeah, the album is good but after two listens, I just didn't have the urge to listen to it again. The other releases set the bar too high that this got buried deep in my playlist
So many bfmv fans that are just butt hurt over this lol. And I like bfmv, more of their older stuff. He’s a reaction/review channel who brands himself on honesty. It’s the reason I personally love his channel.
It's funny how small time youtubers criticize legends like BFMV. 🤣🤣🤣. U can't expect a band to make the same album again and again. BFMV's greatest album was "The Poison", hands down. "Scream Aim Fire" and "Fever" were marvellous. But u can't expect the same thing again and again. Their new album is kickass broh, atleast better than Gravity and Venom (personal opinion). The guitars, drums are top notch. And Matt's voice ❤. U should have appreciated it. Worst review. 👎
What?? “Can’t expect to make the same album” to you listen to what he said? He said it is like the other old albums but he didn’t like it cause they didn’t take it a step further? Bullets my favourite band but what your saying makes no sense ahahaha
@@shennen8331 That's my fckin' point. BFMV's last album was hated because they apparently "lost their old sound". Now when they make an album similar to the older ones, people hate it! First understand what I am trying to say and then comment.
