First Pit: Death and Dark Angel at the Brick in Wood, New Haven, CT. Floor vibrated from the pit and my buddy carried a dude on his shoulders into the fray. Crazy pit at times. Best: Had a lot, but one at Toad's Place where I formed a wall of death and slammed into the flank of 10 moshers, knocking them over like ten pins. Aaahhh, good times. Worst: Flotsam and Jetsam, Prong - Toad's Place. Crowd surfed, pulled onto stage into the monitor - broken collarbone. Painful ride to hospital. Worst was next morning when I woke up. Forgot I had broken it, tried to get up like normal - BIG MISTAKE. Had to sleep without a pillow for two weeks.
My first pit was during Stam1na, Finnish metal band. It was awesome. Best worst was Asking Alexandrias wall of death in Finland. I tried to help somebody up and got knocked over on that person instead. And got kicked on the ground :D it was fun tho
I haven’t been in many but my first and best was to sick puppies at a bar they started a mosh pit and I lost my shoe when a super fat guy backed up and slammed to the pit when I was right on the edge and my worst although it was still a ton of fun was to Carnifex, I went into the pit on the first song and a guy was swinging his arms and hit me right in the nose I got a deviated septum and had a monster headache the rest of the night that was still fun though I’ve only been in 3 mosh pits because I haven’t been to a ton of shows where there’s moshing. The only other I was in was I Prevail at a music festival in this small VIP area and Erik started a mosh pit then security started grabbing people and kicking us out for moshing because it was their last song
