Marq is also an AMAZING guitar player. He recently was at Whisky Go Go Ultimate Jam night and played 316 and Mean Street on a guitar that Eddie gave him.
Even the worst music from this era (not that THIS is one of those), is far, far better than 99% of ANYTHING "mainstream" today. Sure there are a lot of undiscovered artists out there - but back then it was a different game. Bands developed by playing live .
Yeah buddy , saw these guys back in the day , in a rather small venue , down in Baltimore, Md . And like so many bands , back then , they really kicked ass , loud , right on the money , and weren’t afraid , to go apeshit , even in a small club . But a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then , but these guys was , HOT ! ! ! And back then , I was a biker , M.C. club , and used to go to lots of clubs , to check out a lot of , the really great bands fer , almost nothing , pick up a hottie , and get, neckad! I made a ton of money , selling , meth , coke , and killer weed ! Those days was like , the Wild West ! And we was the bad guys ! Oh to , be able to go back then , and I would’ve lived a lots , faster , cause now I’m just an old guy , my hearts still wild , but the flesh is weak !
I remember this band and song.. Heck yea!! I remember rocking my bullet boys tshirt and loved every minute of it! I was a teenager when this came out. I barley was but I was! Good ole days and best of times!! Damn I miss it too!!
I was a huge Bullet Boys fan. When KNAC would play them I'd crank it. Very good band. The lead singers killing it. The basist is superb as is the guitarist and drummer. Jesus is Lord!
@@doginu yeah, I'm a KMET guy turned to KLOS, finally found my true love and I called her KNAC but occasionally I step out the back door and take KCAL out on a date.
Always loved these guys! Saw them live, with Cinderella, and Winger. They had such a powerful sound! Big drums, ripping bluesy guitar, great basslines, and Marq's awesome vocals!
I SAW THESE GUYS IN PHILLY MANY YEARS AGO AGO AND WAS SO IMPRESSED THAT I DROVE TO NORTH JERSEY THE VERY NEXT NIGHT TO SEE THEM AGAIN. I THINK THEY WERE ON THE ROAD WITH MR.BIG
These guys are heavy hitters in the scheme of things ..pure genius! Marq Torien is full of himself. I wouldn't have missed this band for the world. "Bulletboys..SING!" HAHAHA God bless Rock and Roll! Carry on.👍😀🙏
@Sly Rax yes.....they were marketed as the next VH ....well with Ted Templeman they had the avenue. Marc did have a killer voice, but just about everything he did was emulating David Lee Roth. The rest of the band couldn't hold a candle to Van Halen.
Man, these guys were so damned good live. whether it a live audience of about 10 or 10,000 these guys made it tough to follow for a lot of other bands.
At one point in this interview, they were talking about "homeless people" in L.A. like it was a rare thing. 6:10 Now, it is a common, everyday sight in our urban landscape.
@@lorettasearcy1471 those are ugly , jealous ,slackjaw losers that couldn't get a girl to tell them they were attractive except for their mom and sister .. 😂
I saw them at a club in Wilmington NC at a long gone place called "The Mad Monk", it was freezing and the line was all around the building. I was on a first date with a dude and suggested we go see them. Haha...soon as we entered the 2 story club I hustled to the front of the stage and planted myself there the entire performance. My stupid date lol, didn't like the music but hung around ..so I kept having him get me beer after beer...the band was incredible, sounded fantastic, the lead singer marq was a doppelganger for DLR..💖...great night, great band ...
I 100% agree with your comment and thank you for posting it. One other voice that reminds me of Marq T. Of that era would be Mark Slaughter particularly when he was vocalist of Vinnie Vincent Invansion & First Few Slaughter Album’s. I can say Marq’s voice has held up significantly compared to Mark Slaughter. I attended a Slaughter Concert last year and many songs were in different key / certain parts on many songs he turned the mic for crowd to sing . Marq T still has the pipes & energy
Wanted to add another similar talent vocalist from that era. Joe Leste’ front man for Bang Tango. Another talented group and Psycho Cafe was a great album . Early Albums of group Extreme were /are great as well
This band is tragic. There was a groove to Bullet Boys that wasn't in other hair metal. Torien had a great voice ( he's great on guitar as well) but apparently an ego and some issues to match. Sweda said that's the reason they tolerated him. That voice. They tried to reunite a few years ago. The shows I saw were better than most hair bands still touring. But they couldn't get along and imploded again.
Fuck, Mick Sweeda, that dude has a GUITAR TONE!!! Dirty as fuck but so clean and articulated in the mix!! When vocals say mean green, just listen to those notes SPARKLE!! If goofball singer would stop stepping on Mick with his wanna.be roth shit, well, maybe these dudes would have been huge. Cheers to Mick Sweeda
I cant believe I never seen this! Mustve been when I was with a guy that was tryin to convert me into a Deadhead! Guess what!? IT DIDNT WORK!!! Metal cat for life!!! Jus call me METAL KITTY ;) \m/
I saw these guys on MTV as a kid and thought, "I wanna look like they sound when I grow up." Loud, wild, sexy, careless"....... mission accomplished. Thank you, Bullet Boys and all 80's bands. 😎
I like his look, style, and moves. But think he tried to emulate David Lee Roth a little too much. But yeah, he did have a great voice, definitely one of the better of the hair metal lead singers.
Thanks a ton! I've been looking for a good quality version of this. You'd probably have a lot more views if you changed the name to "Bulletboys Smooth up In ya/For The Love Of Money tv performance" or something of the sort.
Yes..Fu CK in made my night. Saw these guys many times in clubs. They always bring it just like that. Awesome. The original line up always the best. Cool to see this video of the originals. I hung out with them and met marqs sister at FM station years ago. They rocked then too. Marq on guitar.. But he always rocks no matter what. Just giving props where props are due. You guys were the next can Halen. Great formula.. Producer and songs. Should've ate your pride and stayed together... Maybe you could changed history and driven out grunge rock. Almost. Love Bullet Boys. Always will.
- Marq had a David Lee Roth vibe the way he performed. This Band definitely had balls!!! Their first two albums were BadAss, produced by Ted Templeman who also produced Van Halen.
Nirvana was creepin' and true rock didn't ever see the grunge shift to Seattle coming, short and sloppy but it's effect obliterated real hard rock, plus all the other creativity that the 80's carried. MTV became a ....I don't have a description but it's not MUSIC television. I could continue ranting but we all know how much we miss this.....
Does anybody the exact date of when this performance was recorded? I can't find any information anywhere on the internet about this show. For some reason, finding any accurate information on this band is highly allusive. It would be really interesting to know where that filthy rehearsal studio was and also why Marq release any of the pro shot video from their 1991 tour. The only real video from that era is from ABC's "In Concert 91" tv series that was recorded at Irvine Meadows Amphitheatre.
After seeing these guys open for Winger and Cinderella in the late 80's, my friends and I watched them get forcibly removed from a truck stop by several truckers because they were harassing the customers and wait staff. They tried to be all cool and tough, but the truckers were not having it. Long story short, the BulletBoys got their asses kicked and thrown out of a truck stop diner. Moral of the story: a little manners goes a long way. true story.
Always LOVED this song and leads moves (🙃) but I never knew he could sing this good LIVE! They could've been HUGE.. Oh, btw..dude on our left during interview looks so much like Bach. I'm on my cheap shitty phine, so I can't see him really goid, but I'm seeing Sebatian on my phone, lol, at least from a distance with the cam.
