The light package is supplied by Whelen during production. The trajectory of the lighting is shockingly bad - but nowhere near as bad as the unmarked Ford mondeos they use over here - the blue lights are basically non-existent on them!!

@@darryl_quinn Thanks, understood. Actually I'm not surprised, Whelen just used what was left in storage. Just, if I don't use ramp on top, then I want to use something powerfull in front, something people will notice.

Armoured cars generally dont have light bars on the roof incase there damaged i believe

All police light packages for the Skodas are supplied by Whelen - the minimum safety standard for blue lights fitment in NI is 4 visible at the front of the vehicle (regardless of place) and 2 on the rear (regardless of place). There is a fair possibility that the slicktops were part of Undercover Armed Response Unit at some stage but later became marked slicktops. All of the slicktops seen in the video are fully armoured, bulletproof glass, etc. Hope that clears a little bit up.

Agreed! Very easy to miss, especially in daylight.

Just a redesign essentially - know as a slicktop with the unmarked light package supplied by Whelen. I think the lightning trajectory is abysmal - very easy to miss - even at night!

They are armoured and designed as a slicktop version, i.e. no lightbar.
