Are you sure what you are saying is accurate and has validity in the statistics you mentioned (i.e. "£34.2 million")? I just see a lot of these comments and think that these people just mention these type of comments to get likes. Also from the Dragon's point of view between them they'll have 11% once the money is paid. If he sells for £37m like his last business they'll have made £4m from an £80k investment, or if he sells for £12m like his first they'd make £1.32m from the £80k. That doesn't include the probable share dilution but still it's a very promising deal especially when you're giving it to a successful entrepreneur with a great track record.

I think it's that if Thortful is owned by a single corporation, he's better off using the "dragons"' money and resources to try to grow the business. Any failure would result in less loss to him than if he were to fund it himself. That, plus the added value of the "dragons" (which I understand can also be diluted) is an attractive deal.

World Kat Different fields of expertise is also a reason... Peter is just not into low profit per sale/massive quantity type businesses and prefers tech and services with lower production costs that are typically more risky to invest into, but can turn massive profits if successful. He can afford it, mostly because he has the contacts to make them successful, but I can def see how someone without his influence would be interested in safer investments like what we see here, even though the potential for profit isn’t as big.

He seems to me to be smart enough to take the deal on TV, thus getting good publicity, so he can deny it afterwards; many of these deals fall through anyway. He'd be pretty crazy to give away 12% of his business for 80k that he just has laying around. 12% at 80k values his business at 666k, which is only 44% the worth of what he has invested today. That is a serious undervaluation.

HAZ R&D, website saturation, design and advertising. Also about $50,000 on programming so pennies really. He’s a rich guy who wants to succeed or fail fast so money accomplishes this. I actually have little doubt his business will be successful or quickly sold to someone who will make it so if he simply can’t accomplish this goal in the next two years. I also have no doubt he actually has several businesses he’s there secretly trying to get going and is using this format to accomplish through exposure.

The company declines to publish its profit/loss statements, but current negative equity (as of year end 2019) totalled around £1.6m

@@XwolfBane18 Each company has to file their finances to the government in a report each year which is then uploaded to the .gov website so you can see the companies turnover, assets etc.

I really enjoy the non-judgmental container/space the dragons create during the pitch. Yeah, once the pitch is over it can get intense and confrontational, but during the pitch they're right there, built open for the other

Investment never went through. He is still in business. Thortful’s revenue is now: $22.60 Million. Should definitely apply for Jenny’s seat now.

Net Company Worth though is (-)1.6 million and his liabilities shot up, meaning he even took new investment in So revenue is good at 22 mil, yet profits are low to non-existent unless he's feeding the profits to himself in some other financial capacity
