What sets this film apart from others is definitely the ending, it is not a happy one, but one that leaves an impression on the watcher. This film is made to raise awareness of our actions, and how we can affect others. I have read a lot of people hating Jinyoung's character in the end, however, I do not blame him, as what happened to the girl is not his fault. People like to believe that they would be the hero and stand up for what's right, but more often or not, people become bystanders and allow injustices to continue, and that's why it is not fair to judge his good-natured character based on a moment of weakness. In the very last scene when he is looking up at the blue sky, he breaks down, this represents the guilt he will carry with him for the rest of his life because of it. This is what makes this movie highly realistic and not cliche, the characters are not your 2D stereotypical hero and helpless girl, they are both innocent human beings that have been wronged some way or another, we as the viewer see the inner conflict (especially Jinyoung) that the characters have with themselves. Pay attention to the Juxtaposition of guilt and innocence, it is a key element of the movie. I highly recommend people to watch it, it really does leave an impression on you. Jinyoung is a great actor!! he doesn't over do it and it is supernaturalistic, very proud of him!! 4.5/5 (not a 5 because I like my happy endings ;) and I'm still crying)

One biggest thing I learned from this movie is that you should not give anyone hope and promise if you can’t fulfill them. It’s a great movie. Really mad me cry in the end. 😥😥. This movie is an accurate representation of how society works to break innocent people. All can influence one, but unfortunately, one can't always influence all. It's sad that this movie received bad reviews from the idiots that didn't understand it. Yes, it is somewhat confusing to understand and the ending may seem abrupt, but when you really think about it, it all makes sense. The metaphors and symbols and all the other literary devices comes together to play such a vital role in projecting the theme of this movie. 10/10 would recommend if you're all about realism.

Since some of us are a little confused about the ending, this is what I gathered from it: It’s referencing the title. One of Minsiks first experiences of Yejoos prejudice is the singing test, after he runs out after her, he catches her looking at the sky/clouds, often thought to reference the want to get away from all the bs. Later on, when Minsik first finds the baby goat, it’s trapped in a hole, much like Yejoo who’s trapped in sufferance. So when he’s lookin up at the sky, he’s crying bc 1. he prob feels guilty as shit and 2. it starts snowing like she hoped it would again, but he’s also thinking that she’s run away like she had wanted to; re. the scene when she’s running after the goat at the bus stop (Yejoos last scene), notice how she’s scared af and her hometown is lit but the road ahead is dark, it’s bc her town is all she’s ever known, and much like a baby goat who’s just running, she’s just running too. So when he trips and falls trying to chase the goat, I guessed it’s to represent how he tripped and fell short by abandoning her; re. when he looked up after he fell, the goat was gone just like she was gone after he shunned her at the church before she ran away.

This film is such a master piece. People hate the movie because of its ending, but it’s groundbreaking. It’s not your stereotypical kdrama short where the guys just falls for the girl. The writer of this put a lot of thought into it and I’m really happy with all the morals that can be found when concluding the true meaning of the film. Choi Minsuk: guilt YeJoo: Innocence The girl is bullied for no reason and does not initiate conflicts. Society bashes on her, yet she has no faults what so ever The boy represents guilt and the mind of the average person on society. The way his character development is shown just tells you a lot in allegorical form. He is a young teen, tempted by peer pressure yet fights his moral conscious to break out of the cycle and attempt to help the girl. If you watch the film (Spoiler) She gets raped by an old man, and the boy, overwhelmingly shocked by the situation, was simply baffled beyond rapair. Instead of helping her, he turned his back on her which in turn lead him to feeling an insane amount of guilt. In conclusion, society is cruel to the weak, and nobody is willingly courageous enough to stand up for anyone. We all follow the same routine, *the stain never coming off*

So I'm back here after watching the movie. And I have to say. WATCH IT GUYS. YOU MUST. The betrayal, the disappointment, heart ache of being helpless, weak, and no one believing or taking your side. And especially, the regret.

This story is realistic.. i think all the casts did amazing jobs, to portraying the judging society. i could relate somehow, when i am here living in a small village, and if a huge case ever happen, everyone practically talks about it, the whole neighborhood cares about the news not realizing how negatively it effects the victims. i sympathized those who struggles and willing to help, but the confidence wasn't there. I was grateful he was giving her some hopes but in the end, we just act beyond the expectation. The environment doesn't help. A sad truth indeed.
