Back in the day, sewing circles and quilting parties were more common. I think it was important and a special time and healing. Threads and needles in hand, weaving together projects and conversation. We need more of that, as humans I think. And if we cant have a sewing circle in person, then coming together in community in the comment sections of videos like this, thankfully provided by lovely people like you, is a great opportunity as well. Much prefer listening to you talk than hear music. I also appreciate that you talk about creating art for your enjoyment of the process, over worrying about the result. I too have perfectionist tendencies that more often than not prevent me from making things. Love that your videos are cover many different types of projects, it helps knowing I am not alone with too many different interests. Referring to myself as a Jack of many trades, yet a master of none😊

I love what you did with the feather stitching to begin this piece. I indulged in more colors of my current favorite thread shortly before watching this. Had the idea to swatch each new ball of color on a strip of fabric in whatever stitch appeals at the moment. 😊

Ohww, I didn't know what you made was a Bullion stitch. I thought it was fabric or something. Yup, big time newbie over here. 😊 You are teaching me lots of awesome things. Thank you. 😀 If I dare I post my first creation in the Facebook group. I didn't know yet about this kind of style. Otherwise I used beads and other techniques also. We nees to learn somewhere. 😁
