ONLY being released for PS2 and Scholarship Edition (PC) as of now
Here's an sneak peak of an update for my combat mod "Brawling Style". It will address several existing bugs/technical issues as well as give enemies more variety in their attacks, makes enemies (even more) tough/aggressive, gives every clique the ability to dodge, and much more!
Jimmy can now manually evade and his combo extensions have been altered/updated as well. A showcase of this mod's final moveset will be shown asap. Anything you see here is subject to change. This mod will be released as soon as it's ready, expect more updates in the near future!

Im very impressed honestly cause l have no clue on how to even change Jimmy's fighting style and l only know how to edit ped/player stats.. here's very talented modders like you changing the entire combat system of the game.. this'll be so fun to play on The PS2/PC versions; can't wait to play this

I wonder if you can fixate some cliques on their moves specifically? Like Jocks would prefer wrestling and tackles, Greasers would get more feints and combos, Preppies dodge a lot, Bullies and Towneys just fight unfair, using dirty moves and stuff and Nerds just use an ICBM against you Also, still waiting on that defense showcase follow-up for offensive moves

@@SURU_ oh, no, no, take your time of course, modding is an art and we all know we shouldn't rush those, especially when it's done out of pure passion. I do have a question about bosses: will they change? For example it would be interesting to have a proper fight with Ted and Edgar if it's possible in any way and if Gary will be buffed in the finale

Bosses like Gary, Russel, and Johnny can definitely be buffed, but I believe changing the way Ted or Edgar’s fight works would take a few extra steps. I’ll see what I can do 👍

hey man i just completed the game with the current version of brawling style and althought there were some bugs (gary being bugged to hell and the grapple animations being buged with the increased difficulty mod) it was the most fun i ever had replaying bully im looking forward to whatever you have planned :D

Thank you for this mod, I really love it! You've made me replay this game for the 100th time xD would be super cool to have more boxing combos from the preppies and the back dodge from Bif's moveset (the one he leans back with his hands down, that looks badass). Looking forward for the next update, great work!

And also Bif's cross punch finisher looks nice, it's not unblockable but the second hit throws the opponent to the ground.

AND even tho you haven't noted this in the mod page I found out you can perform the stealth choke from behind by pressing Y, B while grappling someone xD

-bugs I've spotted so far kick reversal has 2 variants, the first one when jimmy twists the opponent's leg always works, the other one leaves jimmy facing the ground and the opponent is left stading up right after the reversal, don't know if it's supposed to mean that they reversed our reversal or if it's a bug. knee combo (X, X, A) is very inconsistent on smaller peds, most of the times it wont hit the opponent if he has his guard up. -suggestions for new moves boss johnny's combo (the one he stomps and spits on you) knee grapple takedown for largers peds from beta reversal grapple while standing and on the ground reversal mounted punches that some peds performs on jimmy add low light kick in combos Bif's cross punch Bif's uppercut Bif's back dodge I think the jocks fighting stance fits this brawling style (if possible, I know that swaping some stances with jimmy's can't be done). And I really like this idea of adding new moves to the cliques, but keeping their own style like some other comments have pointed. You're changing the way many people will proceed to play this game like forever including myself xD. Thank you so much for investing your time on this!

Sorry to say this, but I don't see anything new except that the enemies have become more difficult, and other things I would like to see in this mod: that there be game spit effects, and develop grappling and counter attacks ,Good luck

No worries. Enemies becoming more difficult is the main focus of this mod's update. I want there to be waaay more of a challenge than there is currently, making each clique tougher, more evasive, etc. More grappling options have been added, but all of Jimmy's options will be showcased when the mod's 100% finished

Maybe in the future you can experiment and give certain NPC classes moves based on their original fighting styles. Like the Prep's boxing prowess and the Bulllies' raw power.

This would be better if some attacks actually connected, but I put that down to the wonky engine This mod has been tons of fun to play around in, and also, will you be making a version of this that's compatible with Derpy's Script Loader? And also, just to clarify, "charged" attacks are just attacks that are half-charged right? Since it distinguishes that from fully-charged, and I've never really gotten any of the half-charged attacks to trigger

Sharing the entire iso is not allowed as far as I can tell, so I’ll share the Script Act, etc. files for the PS2 for everyone to install on their own iso. If there isn’t a guide to do so by the time the mod’s finished I’ll make one 👍

I'm having a trouble while playing the game with the mod, I've replaced all the files for the mod but the games freezes and stops working. My Bully's version is V1.200 I hope you can help me out. (I replaced the scripts that make the time go slower and thr other scripts that don't change time speed)

Have you downloaded and updated Silent Patch? It fixes a ton of issues depending on your PC. I've heard running the game in Compatibility Mode under "Windows XP (Service Pack 3) can help as well

You can download "SilentPatchBully.zip" here: github.com/CookiePLMonster/SilentPatchBully/releases/tag/BUILD-3-TEST. To install it you have to move all the files to bully's main directory (same way you install my mod). There's a "Read Me" included with the zip for more info

This was all the result of learning/using "LUA". Lua is used for modding many games and can be confusing at first, but just about anything's possible once you learn it. There's a great tutorial on how to mod here if you're interested: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DYTmEQv9G5w.html
