Sunday the 14th of April 2024 was the first patched ride of the season for the Parisi Chapter (Widows Sons Masonic Bikers Association). We had 20 members and partners dine and stay over in Catterick on the Saturday night as a social before the ride the following day. For the ride itself, we had 9 bikes and 15 people join us for a fantastic day.
Bully organised and led the ride which started from Catterick and headed up through Richmond and took in a short sprint along the A66 to Barnard Castle before dropping south into the Yorkshire Dales. The route then took us through Stang Forest, Whaw, Tan Hill, Kirkby Stephen, Sedburgh, Dent, Cowgill and then to Hawes, where we stopped for some needed refreshments at the Wensleydale Cheese Factory. For the afternoon, any ride in the dales would not be complete without a trip over Buttertubs Pass and then through Muker, Reeth and finally stopping at the Manor Farm Cafe just outside Leyburn.
