Making Gary more aggressive during the Final Showdown mission in Bully Scholarship Edition. His attack and block rate have been increased. Can be downloaded here: bully-board.com/index.php?act...
The only real problem is gary isn't aggressive enough. What i mean is he dosn't attack you often and pretty much lets you win. This shows how it should have been
It's hard to make it workable like that. You think its easy to find people who are experienced? No. And it takes too much time and stress to them work on it. Either accept this or go play 20th Dark Souls game.
@@SeriousDragonifyhonestly making him more aggressive is really easy, just editing the ped stats from the game files and making his aggressivity levels higher idk like to 90.
When I fought Gary for the first time, I thought for sure he'd be the toughest Boss yet, because everything that I knew about him led me to believe he'd fight super dirty, and that he'd do any dishonorable thing to win I was disappointed that he was a complete push over
i think the purpose is. That gary wasn't some strong ass brute like Johnny, Derby, Ted, or similar. He was just a kid. Who could manipulate people very well. So in other words. Considering that the player's HP would've tanked from putting the other cliques under control, as well as being thrown stuff at by Gary during the chase. It's to give the player the satisfaction of beating him up and fuck him up like he deserved to be.
@@mahmudamina518 well, yeah. He was the biggest, toughest kid in the school. But you're comparing a big strong, dumb brute. To a weaker, smart manipulating narcissist. They can't be compared m8.
Even if he is mostly a minipulator, Gary would still put up a hard fight, seeing as with his inexperience qnd ego, he would be more wild in connecting his hits, while trying to get back up and blocking as often as he can, thus making the fight longer
I like the wild idea a lot, considering he is more into psychological damage instead of physical, I like the idea that adrenaline would be his drive in the fight. Increased resilience and shaky hands i.e Gary would hit harder than he thinks because of adrenaline, would lead to a proper final boss fight
In the beta version of the game he was pretty hard to beat but I'm glad that rockstar made him easy to beat because it was a great way to end the game after everything Jimmy had gone through
I agree with this but also I think the reason why they made it easy to kick his ass because rockstar wanted to make it satisfying after All that stuff he puts you through
Yeah, but i think the idea of weak Gary was based from all actions we did and everything Jummy got through, it made him only stronger While at same Gary was provoking gang leaders and starting fire into everything
I love the regeneration, some people have really high pain tolerances so I could definitely see it. There’s no way to make him the toughest boss in the game via brute strength alone snd have it make sense but he definitely stepped up his game from Ch. 1. With his boss style, slightly more aggressive fighting like he did here, and the health regeneration I think it’s perfect
@@laurentiusmcmxcv Johnny is another one I could easily see having a super high pain tolerance. The health generation, with his bike minus the crane…that would be fun
Probably for me it would be if you throw too many punches while he dodges, he'll use the "Finisher" as a counter even though you're not on low health but you'll still take damage instead, leg sweep would work but using that move too often will make him jump over it and countering it as well. That's all I got, a dirty counter move from Gary
A while ago I noticed that trick to be able to have "a decent combat with Gary" you literally have to hit him three times while blocking you and wait for him to return his attack, if you just dedicate yourself to hitting him you know what happens... (sorry for bad English)
Also if you punch in the direction of the person you're fighting but you miss they will be more likely to increase their attack rate. I've tested this with Johnny Vincent's boss fight before on PS4.
Made sense for Jimmy to beat Gary who relied entirely on his manpower other than himself to fend himself from Jimmy but as a game it doesn't make it as fun as we'd expect.
This definitely would’ve been awesome the way to fight him if he’s this tough is to find a opening if he blocks is the uppercut or the leg sweep the uppercut breaks his blocking and then you attack and the sweep keep kicking him while he’s down
I mean, for a guy who is supposed to be the final boss... he's pretty easy to beat in vanilla. Admitably, they could have designed Gary to be more of a Geese Howard-esque character, a cunning schemer and a tougher foe to beat, but they had to make him a manipulator who just gets people to fight others instead of doing it himself.
@@Jumbo_J His final bossfight is literally that proof, but I'd rather have had him be agressive. Not necessarily a hard hitter or tough to beat, but for him to constantly attack and never give you a break. It would be in character after he reveals everything and also would provide some difficulty spike without it actually being too hard.
to be honest, I didn't mind that Gary was a weak boss. He wasn't suppose to be strong or a great fighter. He's a manipulating weasel who gets other people to do the dirty work for him, so it's only natural that he's not really good at fighting. I feel like this fight was a way to satisfy players that we finally get to kick Gary's ass after all the shit he's put us through.
most ppl don't know how to break enemies block the easier way, holding punch button? yeah it does, but u actually doesn't need to hold it for too long cuz if u did, it'll only change into second phase moveset (uppercut, leg sweep, etc). You only need to hold punch button for 0.5 sec to change it into block breaking punch. Here's the perfect example for it in case you guys didn't realize it 1:48
Gary being weak is anticlimactic, sure. But hes a schemer not a fighter, so its pretty fitting lore-wise. But forget that, he should be tough for that satisfying finale.
I WANNA PLAY THIS GAME!!!! I loved bully but the only thing I hated was the combat was to damn easy!! If the game and combat was harder it would have been perfect
While this is cool and all, all this modification seems pretty trivial since all of Jimmy's strong attacks are UNBLOCKABLES, and each part of his attack string can still easily break Gary's guard by slightly delaying it anyway. All in all, Jimmy is just completely broken in this game lol
Yeah. In the PS2 version the boss fight camera is alot more zoomed in and the Bullworth Academy symbol is only visible during the fight on the PS2 version as well.

Something else they shouldn't have done for Gary besides give him horrible stats is make him be considered a small character. Why can you bowl him over or trip him up? And he should've had anti-grapple too as well as the dodges and counterattacks he was originally going to have
Because he can't grapple and doesn't have strength advantage over Jimmy either, so how's he supposed to anti-grapple? Gary wasn't supposed to be a threat physically, whole point of the ending was to show that he's a weak fool playing your game which is brawn, which isn't his game, so you beat the shit out of him.
@@willycheez7218 Derby is an actual fighter who can move around properly, also actually strong, even if he's not stronger than Jimmy, the fact is that he's a trained fighter. Gary is not.
Imagine if Gary pulled out a switchblade during this phase, there’s no going back now, either Jimmy beats Gary. Or he dies. Kinda like how if you fail the boss tower in mkx it shows your head on a spike
