The basic Starlink kit sold in the Philippines is only rated up to 30 degrees C. It slows down above that temperature. Starlink do show a high performance kit, with bigger panel, and additional PSU, so both that PSU and the WiFi router need to be plugged into 240v AC. However it seems impossible to order that in Philippines. No public IP address available either, which is possible on Business Plan, but that is not available in Philippines
There is a new Starlink Router, gen 3 going to be available later. Can be used with the gen 2 router (in bypass mode) via Ethernet cable - the gen 2 then just powers the square panel. The gen 3 router has 2 Ethernet ports (and 1 wan to the dish) it is powered by external psu brick, so is low voltage DC input, will not get so hot. Also better for DC systems, eg Solar. Gen 3 also works as mesh node with gen 2
I did get around Starlink’s CGNAT restriction on public IP, using Tailscale Funnel. Free for ports 443, 8443 & 10000, pay for more. There are other paid alternatives. Cloudflared maybe possible for free.
There are now adaptors, one takes the Gen2 plug, from the Starlink Ethernet adaptor, to Ethernet, requires another adaptor POE injector, which needs 48v and provides Ethernet out to your local wired network, which can have an Access Point. This solution means you don’t need the Starlink Gen2 router, and can run from 12 24 via a voltage boost module. Ideal for solar DC, camper vans etc where you don’t then need to run an inverter, saving power.
Ok ang Starlink sa cross server, kasi nasa 60-75ms lng and it feels like 30ms lng. Proven and tested nmin yan.
Im also using starlink for 2 months now. Since we are awake from 6pm-8am monitored nmin ung speed ni Starlink LOL maybe dpnde dn sa location pero samin sa exp nmin pag nag ML mataas mnsa FPS nakaka lag. pero kung work wise ok nmn wag lng ung time ksi mdalas as in everyday nag ddown sya . pag nag down nmn u just have to reboot the system.
And yes mas maganda signal and mataas speed kapag sa highly elevated areas since satellite ung connection nito ni starlink
boss doggie baka naman po!!!! pa birthday lang this coming july 31st sana makita moto boss D!!! always blesssed advance thank you po agad!! pang skate film lang nang phone ❤🛹❤️🔥🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
Promising itong starlink pero the best talaga na exp kong connection is PLDT sa Cainta lumalapag sya ng 600mbps up and down.
The download and upload icons in the ping section of the Speedtest results are not the actual values of the downloads and uploads. If someone downloads, you will have an increase in +137MS or 200+ms in your current ping of 49. As well as for upload ganun din siya. That is called bufferbloat. Disadvantage of wireless technology BUT that is better than no signal at all in your area.
Actually ambilis nya para sa broadband ... dati di kame malinyahan ng fibr kaya naka broadband kame ..juskoporudi kupad :D pero buti nalang si Converge naglakas loob pasukin baryo namin edi andami nilang subscribers ngayon dito :D komberj payber dabest
Why not ipag combine nyo ung 2 wifi provider nyo into 1 modem para once nagka problem ung internet ng isang provider is may backup data na mag susupply sainyo without interruptions or lag/delay.
Based sa experience, iba pa din talaga wired when it comes to gaming. Maganda lng ang starlink if you will travel somewhere locally(camping etc.) and for work also.
May mga nabibili pang add-ons to. Natry mo naba ang starlink? Kasi baka depende sa lugar to dto saamin malakas/stable kesa sa Converge, PLDC, smart or globe. Based on my expiration hindi basihan kung wired.
Make proof of a video na stable ang ping.
So, starlink might or might not be ideal for gaming kase mataas yung latency nya.
