Thanks bro this bike feels a lot more solid. Still have some adjustments to make but the extra power pretty much makes up for it not being dialed in all the way lol
@@JohnHolka right. Hey you looked much more comfortable on it so I would try to stick with the 450 and make adjustments to your 250 based off that. Try to make them similar.
@@tentative22 for sure. I’m definitely transitioning to the 450 full time. 250 is still fun and good to race in the 250 class at times. But it’s biggest problem is the mapping issues I’m having. With no power down low, I’m either knifing or washing the front end all the time in the sand and there’s nothing there to pull me out of it. Just a bog lol
@@JohnHolka yeah I hear ya man. You should ride my Yamaha one day and see if that suspension setup is any better. KYB is where it's at, and at a softer setting, it does its job. Plus my power is readily available upon twisting the throttle so you should be able to get an idea of how to set it up from there.
@@JohnHolka Hey great video. Love Twisted MX Track. Very Fun! Just got my first dirt bike last summer (I'm going to be 44 this month ha ha) 06 Honda CRF250r. Fixed it then rode in a field with some berms every weekend last summer into fall. Then hit the local ORV park twice then twice this spring and started hitting the MX track. Well this video was on Sept 18th... I've hit that first table top jump out of the woods many times but then this happened. Still recovering. 5 Broken Ribs.. smh. Doing well though. Got a bit of Costochondritis (Inflammation of the muscles between the ribs). Check the video out please and tell me what you think I did wrong. Maybe not enough throttle when landing or too much of my weight to the front? I'm still learning but welcome the constructive criticism. I haven't done anything to the suspension other than set the sag for my weight. I'm 195-196lbs without gear. Crash is at 8m30sec ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-x2HrWc6rr18.html Thanks.
I really had that feeling before but I went down 2 spring rates in rear to the .52 spring and up a rate in the forks. Sag is also at 107. I did have the front compression a little too soft this day though and it made the bike over-steer a little. Maybe that’s what you’re seeing.
