Fun fact(s): Nurnberg is the first and only team up to now in the history of the new Bundesliga era (from 1963) to have been relegated right after winning it. They won it in 1968 and relegated in 1969 with 17th place, alongside Kickers Offenbach Also, Kaiserslautern is the first and only team to win the Bundesliga right after being promoted from the 2. Bundesliga. Interestingly, they won both 2. Bundesliga and Bundesliga titles in 1997 and 1998 with the same number of wins (19), draws (11), losses (4), and of course, the same points tally (68)

It's only been known as the Bundesliga since 1963/64. That was the 1st season of a national league. Before that, the top teams in regional leagues met in a series of playoff games, ending in a Championship final, to determine the German champions.

A few people saying Bundesliga was founded in 1963 not 1903, that is correct but the records of pre bundesliga carry over, like with the old division one and now the Premier League.

the records carry over BUT they are not recognized VfB Stuttgart for Example won 2 Titles before the Bundesliga was founded in 1963 and 3 after it was founded so they have a total of 5 won titles yet they got 1 star because the 2 pre Bundesliga titles are not recognized by the Bundesliga title system. thats why clubs like Schalke or Nürnberg got no Stars because the 1. and 2. Bundesliga aren't recognizing their pre-BL titles thats also why in the 3. Liga clubs like 1860 München got a star even though they only won 1 Title (you have to win 3 bundesliga titles to get 1 star on the shirt) because it isn't a BUNDESliga so they got their own rules and clubs are allowed to put a star on their shirt if they won a bundesliga title pre-BL time or less than 3 titles

True - but this video should really be titled German football champions. And in fact West German champions after WW2 until 1963, as there was also the DDR-Oberliga, in the old East Germany.

Excelente. Aunque deberías haber hecho la precisión de que el formato Bundesliga solo fue introducido en 1963. Anteriormente los campeones nacionales salían de un enfrentamiento en el que solo participaban los diferentes campeones regionales. Algo similar a los torneos estaduales de Brasil. Aunque a diferencia de Brasil, en Alemania si se proclamaba a un campeón nacional.

Hay varios que superan los 10 títulos consecutivos, como el Rosenborg y el Bate Borisov que ganaron 13 veces seguidas las ligas de Noruega y Bielorrusia respectivamente, el Dinamo Zagreb que ganó 11 veces seguidas la liga croata y el Skonto Riga (este equipo ya no existe) y el Lincoln Red Imps que ganaron 14 veces seguidas las ligas de Letonia y Gibraltar respectivamente

Du weißt aber schon das der Sieger der Gauliga Westfalen gegen andere Meister aus Deutschland um die deutsche Meisterschaft gespielt hat. Der Sieger dieser Spiele war also ganz normaler deutscher Meister.

Until 1990. Bundes liga was interesting, even B.Munich start dominating since ‘70 , until 1990 there was competition. After that there is only one club and that’s never good for league .

It is not completly right. It only was named Bundesliga since 1963. Before there were Regional Leagues. And the winners were competing for the title after that.

Está mal el título del video, ya que la Bundesliga existe desde 1963, entre 1903 y 1933 se disputaba el campeonato alemán, durante la Alemania nazi, entre 1933 y 1946, se jugaba la Gauliga, que era el torneo de campeones regionales, para después dar paso a las Oberligas regionales, de 1948 a 1963, cuando éstas se fusionaron para crear la Bundesliga, por eso lleva ese nombre ("liga unificada"), por eso es que en el sistema de estrellas (1 por 3 títulos, 2 por 5, 3 por 10 y 4 por 20) el Núremberg no porta las dos que le corresponderían, ya que son torneos diferentes.

It's not Bayern's fault that they are dominating the Bundesliga. If any German football fan was asked in 1963: which team do you think will dominate German football in the next 60 years, most would have said Dortmund or HSV or Schalke or Koeln. When the BL was formed in 1963, 1860 were invited to participate, to represent Munich, not Bayern! Bayern are simply a very well run club - the same cannot be said about the other 'big' clubs like Schalke, Stuttgart, HSV usw.

Also bei den Möglichkeiten und Spielern die Dortmund hatte, sind die nur 8x Meister geworden, das ist wirklich schwach. Da scheint hinter den Kulissen viel schief zu laufen. :-(

@@za_kevo6299 das hat damit nix zu tun, Leipzig gibt es noch nicht lange, aber die machen bessere Arbeit, als alle anderen. Die werden bestimmt irgendwann mal Meister. Aber jetzt steht da erstmal ein Umbruch an.

@@nicokubasch4858 lernt endlich mal den unterschied zwischen sponsoren und eigentümer kennen. verdammt nochmal. der dosenpfand leipzig scheiss hat einen eigentümer. nicht mal mitglied kann man bei diesen möchtegern verein werden. an alle leipziger, für mich seid ihr die größten deppen in deutschland. anstatt ihr lok leipzig supportet(was wirklich euer verein ist) steckt ihr lieber einen konzern das geld in den hintern. die repräsentieren nicht einmal eure stadt. einfach nur erbärmlich.

@@TheGladbacher2011 aber der Dosenpfandverein macht das sehr gut und überlegt. Und schmeißt nicht mit der Kohle Rum. Und Leipzig ist nicht der einzige Verein.

Y para tu información, los equipos austriacos, checoslovacos y hasta hungaros(de esa época), eran los mejores equipos del mundo y eran los que dominaban la.copa.Mitropa,.la.copa.mas importante de Europa junto con la.copa.latina hasta que la copa de campeones apareció a.mediados de los 60's y luego se transformó en la champions League y los campeones de estas dos copas jugaban contra los de América en lo que se llamaba la pequeña copa del.mundo. eran otros tiempos y la FIFA ni se había apoderado del.mundo del fútbol como un vampiro ni lo había organizado cómo está hoy

there was no damage in Germany during the first world war and during the second mainly in 1945, before not much apart from city bombings
