One of the nicest minis I've seen. Clean, crisp and very usable and interactive. Love to see a tutorial of this, written or otherwise. I've watched your tutorials and they are fantastic: clear, concise with very creative ideas.
Wow i have just subbed after having watched a few of your videos. You are so talented. Coming from a history of card making I've found a new love in making albums, and you are a true inspration. Tfs & take care 🌹
Lovely lovely lovely. ....u never seem to cease with ideas dear. Its a wonderful album ever. Hopefully u find time and write instructions. I loved it. Gr8. Xoxo
I love all the interaction you have going on in the mini Kona, I bet it was lots of fun to create. It will be wonderful filled with pictures and memories. Patti
THIS ALBUM IS JUST FLAWLESS. Amazing work! I loved it so much, how interactive it is, so fun!!!! And i love that you didn´t overdo the embellishments. You let the beautiful paper do the work. Congratulations!
I think this is your best album yet. Of course I say that at each new reveal. I really like how you mixed up the striped paper, one going vertical and the next horizontal. I have purchased most of your albums and would definitely purchase this one. Thanks for all the inspiration you give.
I just love your videos, they are always so awesome. You are so talented.I love all the blank pages so that more photos can be put in I make albums for gifts and the paper pads that I use doesn't have matching embellishments so I always have to figure out what to use and design so there is places for journaling tags. This style would be great to use for that type of album. Can't wait until you have a tutorial for this. Thanks for all the inspiration!
Yay! I finally finished the tutorial. It took me so long but it's finally done: www.etsy.com/listing/294885067/mambi-baby-girl-mini-album?ref=shop_home_active_1
Nivdha Ravi I actually used 4 paper collections. The 12"x12" papers only came in 12 sheets with 2 sticker and embellishment sheets. I had to buy 5 packs.
That is so cute, you do beautiful work thanks for great ideas and thanks for sharing. Now if I can wait for your tutorial or try it my self I love the size mini but big. thanks again!
Wow, this is fabulous! I love how the papers are center-stage and not smothered in sentiments and embellishments. I say this because I love embellishments and sometimes find it difficult to decide when to stop! It is refreshing to see how clever interactivity and a peppy collection can make for an interesting project :) Thank you for the inspiration, Kona Raven! Oh! and your videos are lovely--the background score is so catchy!
OMG! I have to say this is one of the cutest baby albums I've seen! It's so pretty :) Good job there. Really inspired me to make one for my nephew too :) Tfs!
WOW!!! Love the bundle of joy baby boy album I saw on youtube. I clicked on the link below it for the tutorial but it went to the baby girl album. I would like the baby boy version because the album cover is completely different. How do I receive that tutorial? Thanks Mary
Mary Powell Aloha Mary! Thank you so much for the compliment! The tutorial for the Bundle of Joy and the Mambi Baby Girl is one in the same. The tutorial covers how to create the pages but does not include how to decorate each one. I leave the paper selection and decorating up to the crafter. I love this mini album. It has so many pages and fun interactive pages. I think you'll love it too.
Your creativity never ceases to amaze me. This is a wonderful baby mini. I have babyitis so anything baby makes my heart happy! I am always awed by the way you match paper designs to continue on a corresponding page and how well you mix and match the papers. Can you tell me how many packs of Bundle of Joy was used for this please? Thanks gina
Aloha Kaye,...I finally finished the tutorial. It took forever,...I'm sorry www.etsy.com/listing/294885067/mambi-baby-girl-mini-album?ref=shop_home_active_1
Aloha Laura! When I created that mini album it was a rush order so I wasn't able to film the making of it. I ended up filming a remake of it using the Mambi Baby Girl paper collection. That is the same tutorial for the Bundle of Joy mini album just different paper. :) Thanks!
totally love this very cute where did you get the claps for the front and the magnetic tabs. I be really interested in a tutorial on how to make pages magnetic.
This is so pretty!! I love all the pages and flaps. Kona, how did you do your binding? For that many pages, how do you get the pages to lay flat like in your album? Many thanks! :)
Kona, Just bought the tutorial of bundle of joy baby boy min album, just finished making my album cover, and getting ready to make all the pages..Just wanted to ask you do you still use 110lb cardstock paper (black) to make all 13 pages. If not what did you use. I am having a great time with this. Thank you. Mary
Mary Powell Aloha Mary! I still use 110# card stock for the pages. It's so much better than the light weight stuff. It folds without tearing or wearing too thin. I'm so glad your having fun!
rosa jimenez I do have a tutorial on it. If you click on the detail box below the video you will find a direct link to the tutorial. The title of the tutorial is Mambi Baby Girl. When I made the tutorial I used another paper line.
Aloha! I don't have one yet but I plan on making one. Normally I create it while I'm making the mini album but I was pressed for time for this order. I'll recreate it at some point and then film it for a tutorial. If you're a subbie you'll be among the first to know. 😊
Hi Kona. I just wanted to ask you about the building of the cover and the hinges of this album. I want to purchase your tutorial on etsy, but I did read somewhere on your page that the binding and building of the cover along with the hinges have to b purchase separately. Does your tutorial provide the building of the hinges and cover too?. Thank you so much. Rose
Aloha Rose Miramontes, Thanks so much for your interest. Yes, the tutorial for the covers and hinge are sold separately however, it is a one time purchase and can be used with any other tutorial of mine.
I really enjoy your work, it is very creative and I really like the interactive concept it provides... I find myself re watching your videos for that same reason... This one in specific I LOVED from the moment I saw it.. I was wondering if the written instructions where ever created or if the idea of the well requested tutorial has crossed your mind? I am extreamly interested in your response... Keep up the crafty creativety and hope to hear from you soon (:
Aloha Christian! I would love to do a written tutorial for this mini album at a later date. I didn't create one while I was making it because I was on a time crunch to get it out to Australia. When I do create one all my subbies will be the first to know. 🤗
+Kona Raven I am so new in scrapbooking.. I just got the idea after your video.. I wanted to know how do you attach those pages.. I would be glad to have a tutorial on attaching pages..
Aloha Sivesha! I have a tutorial in my ETSY shop on how to create the covers and spine of the mini album which include how to attach the pages. If you are interested then you can find my shop here: www.etsy.com/shop/KonaRaveDesigns?ref=hdr_shop_menu
melanie moers Aloha!! I buy the card stock at Michaels. They have it labeled "Heavy Cardstock". You could certainly order it from Amazon as well. I tend to order everything I need at once but my craftroom is stocked like a store so I have most things I need already. The die cuts I have ordered from Amazon Prime. The on the edge dies are all Spellbinders and they are really great.
Lotte Clausen aloha Lotte! Here is the link to purchase the tutorial. www.etsy.com/listing/294885067/mambi-baby-girl-mini-album?ref=shop_home_active_1# I used the Mambi Baby Girl paper to create it but it is the layout of the Bundle of Joy mini album.
Aloha Sakina, I didn't create a tutorial because I was trying to get this one out as quickly as possible. I'm working on another mini album at the moment which does have a tutorial. I can't say when it will be done though.
Aloha Noelle Vishney! I do only sell tutorials. I was so busy doing custom work that it was taking away from the enjoyment of it. I am working on kits though. I’m going to do a trial run to see how they do and if it’s worth it I’ll do some for my albums including this one.
Aloha Julianna Phillip! Thanks for the inquiry. I sell the tutorials not the fully constructed book, however, I have a baby girl album fully assembled in this style.
