I don't think it brings the actual failsafe AI with you but instead a copied version of failsafe that controlled the rockets on the Exodus Edit: I wasn't sure if it was a copy of failsafe in the chest piece or failsafe itself so I reread the exotic lore and it doesn't explicitly mention that it is a copy of failsafe but since failsafe is currently on nessus and the lore tab says that she made the chest piece to adventure with us. Failsafe is most likely connect to the exotic at all times while still residing in the helm and nessus

I’ll say this: developer livestreams seem to really help players and devs come to an understanding for the most part. Players get insight into loot and activities and can chill out and devs remain in a decent to good light

Just have to reiterate that she did correct herself by saying that the episode act drops being all at once is only happening starting with episode 2 in case some people missed it. Saw alot of people wondering why they changed it from the stream after d2team further reitterated but she very clearly corrected herself.

The issue for me is it's still - go to Helm > talk to vendor > do the new activity > talk to vendor > unlock thing on mcguffin > listen to radio. Repeat.

Eh we will see. This second act sounds a lot more adventurous cause we’re doing two BGs right off the bad which is a lot more action and a different cadence. Also even if it’s still a seasonal activity it’s a NEW activity, not just more data collection. At the least act 2 will feel different from act 1 and that’s a great first step

With the removal of timegating, the amount of actual content delivered will be on full display. At that point it's very warranted to have complaints about that. It's been a main issue that bungie has been able to avoid through addressing other issues. Now all the fluff has been removed and they will be forced to address their lack of delivery and repeated reselling old content reskinned (this season is season of the splicer assets used literally 1:1)

Twilight arsenal is my favourite super in the entire game but the damage buff was needed. It is good for utility bc of the weaken but damage wise it was on the same level like nova bomb. Nova Bombe casting time is way shorter tho so warlocks and hunters can pump out the same amount of damage with their ults but also they can start damaging the boss way earlier again like 3-4 seconds and 3-4 seconds equals a ton of damage right now.

@@lucienmoolman8017 this is bungie, said changes will be so minor that it wont solve the core problem bungie have created. titans cannot be pigeonholed into melee builds any longer, they dont work and most exotics simply focus to much on this. bungie literally would need to rework so much to get titans out of that pigeonhole they created otherwise they need to go balls deep and make it viable to a point its worth investing in.

The way you're forced to select a certain number on mods on a column before being allowed to select from the next column has annoyed for as long as it's been around, like why tf in 2024 are we still forced into selecting 3 anti champion mods from the first column no matter what, and then 2 from the second column which often doesn't have anything good and just has buffs to some origin traits which often just do not matter. Let me actually PICK 12 mods bungie like come on.

@@voltus20 Well technically yes but I already don't want to pick 3 mostly useless anti champ mods what makes you think I want all 5, also this still means you will be forced to choose like 3 more within columns 2 or 3 before getting access to the 4th column and in practice most will always end up with 2 in the 2nd column because of all this. The problem still stands that you can't "pick" 12 mods you want, you are forced into half of them that are shit just so you can pick some of the few you actually want.

@@voltus20 That's not what the actual complaint is. The person you're responding to doesn't wanna be forced to choose a certain amount of mods before being allowed to unlock the later columns. This results in never being able to choose more than 2 mods from the last column. Instead, they want the freedom to choose any 12 mods, regardless of column distribution. As an example, 2 anti-champ mods, 2 mods from column three, and 4 mods each from columns four and five.

If we could pick and choose whichever mods we wanted without restriction, they wouldn't be nearly as powerful, since they would have to take all combinations into account, and balance them around it, effectively having to make the mods weaker. This exact point was talked about by the devs in a past devstream, and they said that they would rather have some restrictions, but have the mods be potent, than have them free for choice at the cost of making them less meaningful.

The location that is reprised could be Io, because of it, if I remember, being the first place that the traveller terraformed. And I still wish that they reprise the locations from D1 and D2, including the Story, with something like a Pathfinder objectives similar to the Flashpoint, encouraging people to play in the given location, and maybe Heroic Missions again.

IDK about "SAVED" cuz they mentioned that they'll be releasing all THREE weeks of story at once for each act of episode 2, which is confirmation that episode 2 and 3 will only have 3 weeks worth of story per act. That isn't enough as i believe it needs to be 4 or 5 weeks worth of story per act if it's gonna be 18 weeks an episode, cuz essentially 9 weeks of downtime per episode is kinda a bummer. HOWEVER, the tease that we're going to a "Storied Location" in destiny history has me excited

It does make sense. We already have some immensely powerful mods, they'll likely add more of those with each act. Making us pick and choose and prioritize mods that we want rather than letting us get everything and become super overpowered is a good call

My problem with episodes isn’t the weekly roll out, Bungie said they were switching to this “Episode” model over Seasons and it was gonna give us more story, cinematic’s and more content. They just confirmed each act for each season will only have three parts. That’s nine weeks of story. Other then a few seasons we only had 6 weeks then a finally at the end, that’s what we already got with seasons. More cinematic’s? There wasn’t even one in the first act and there are usually three a season. More activities? Looks like we’re getting all the same content as seasons, less than some actually not more. Then they still haven’t confirmed if we’re getting two or one dungeon this year and we’re not getting a raid reprisal, sounds like we are getting much less content with episodes than seasons.

Other than lore, I never get the sense that the Vex are operating "as one" or anything like that. The AI for all enemies feels identical, so the way they hype up the Vex acting more like individuals rings hollow for me.

The new Vex will sometimes run away from you, purposfully hide behind bigger vex units, some will jam their weapons, and some rare times they will stare at you and not get aggressive despite having visuals of you until either you attack them, or get too close to them. Those are just the differences i've noticed, i'm sure others may have noticed others i missed.

I have not witnessed a single instance of different behavior, but then Bungie gave me zero reason to do so. For a decade I've been shooting Vex on sight, so unless they appear as friendlies in the UI, why the hell would I notice? In Halo, for example, the Grunts would sometimes scream out and run wildly into cover, but nothing like that plays out in a meaningful way in D2. *shrug*

Close to beating Elden Ring DLC so I haven't been in destiny for 2 weeks. I'm ready to go back in and finish act 1 and look at act 2. I'm not a streamer, I'm a dad, husband, employee, so I can't spend 8 or 10 hrs straight playing the game 7 days a week. So this is fine for me.

Lots of good stuff, but assuming they add 5 new artifact perks with each act but still keep it to 12 active (which is still great!), the need for a link between loadouts and artifact perks gets bigger. the more perks we have, the bigger variety gets, but with that comes a bigger need of maybe switchig 3-4 artifact perks. and doing that after each loadout switch is pretty uncomfy regarding usability.

Titans were actually really good for 2nd encounter contest. But yes, they are clearly behind, and Hunter is extremely OP with nighthawk + still hunt, so everyone and their grandma wants hunters in lfg. It's an issue and Bungie seems to ignore it because they are all hunter mains (lol).
