In this episode of @nextleveloz we leave the van behind, pack the tent and head to the mystical and stunning beehive domes and glowing chasms of the stunning Purnululu National Park - the Bungle Bungles. It's a long trip from Kununurra and a rough road into the Park, but it's absolutely worth it.
We love, love, love Purnululu.
We spend two nights at Walardi campground, walk to the majestic Cathedral Gorge and then drive to the glowing Echidna Chasm, which lights up a golden glow as the sun passes over the narrow chasm.
If you are interested in visiting Purnululu on your travels we give an overview of the considerations to help your decision.
Then its time to head back to Kununurra, pack up, cross the Ivanhoe Crossing and head east, wrapping up our 3 months in Western Australia and commencing the next leg of the Big Lap adventure in the Northern Territory.
Welcome to Episode 33 of our Big Lap Gap Year. We're David and Paula @nextleveloz Like many of you, we've worked hard for 40 years, but we are too young to retire. So we're taking a gap year from work, we've bought our first ever caravan and are doing a Big Lap around Australia taking in the iconic destinations of our fabulous country.
