Old child beds did not match any more with the age of our sons therefore I have built a bunk bed for them. There is one mattress 120 cm wide and the other one 90 cm wide and that is the reason the bed stands on 6 posts. Originally I thought that the bed would be anchored to the wall but it is not needed, it is very stable as it is. There is also this video in Czech version on my channel.
