In this video I ride the Bunker Creek Trail located in Brian Head, Utah. It's a FULL PULL, that's right, you read that correctly...the entire trail system that is known as Bunker Creek. I did miss the first little climb section from the parking area but not much.
This trail was one of my favorites in the area and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a little bit of everything, it was pretty mellow in comparison to chunky downhill type trails but it still offered that fun factor.
The reason for such a long video?? One of the first things I do when traveling to a new area (or even a new trail) is to check RU-vid for any videos of the places I plan on riding. This typically gives me an idea of what to expect and how to approach the ride; what to wear, which hydration pack, if it's really backcountry then how much first aid to bring, so on and so forth. It allows me to feel better prepared. That being said, I really like the videos that include most if not all of the trail and a huge bonus is if the footage is stable and crisp, with added little nuggets of information!
My hope is that this will help others decide whether this trail is something they are looking for and/or ease their anxieties on the "unknown" aspect of riding an unfamiliar trail.
The ride itself took us about 2 or 2.5hrs to complete (including breaks). We highly recommend using ShuttleDudeJeff, he's the go to guy for Brian Head and Cedar City! I'm so glad the wind kicked up that day and the lift closed, otherwise there's a good chance this ride wouldn't have happened!
All skill levels for this one. In fact, there was a family on the shuttle with us and they had some young ones with them...I think as young as 5?? They all made it and said it was a lot of fun (we ran back into them at Barn Burger while waiting for the shuttle).
Double Bonus - This video would make a great indoor trainer ride. It's long enough haha.

Hey Donna, Greetings from Western Colorado. Very fun to watch this vid again. A friend, who will be riding there with us there this year, sent and it will be fun to return. You rode "Left Hand Bunker", measured from the trailtail. The lower singletrack was not there when we were there last time. Looks like great fun. Cheers!

GoPro Hero 8 too! I went back and rode it again, with the 9. Not sure I'll be posting that one up though. I'm currently working on the next video (Blowhard Trail in Brianhead, filmed with the 9) stay tuned...🥰

I appreciate the format of this video, went through a bunch of Bunker creek videos looking for a full pull and couldn't find it. I try to scope out trails before I go so I don't get lost and lose my flow. Great job! p.s. now I know why the KOM's are on xc bikes, more pedaling than I thought there would be.

So glad you enjoyed it and that it was helpful, that's one of the main reasons I post them up. I'm the same way, I like to scope trails out beforehand...do a little recon. Especially if I only have time for a couple rides, gotta make them count! Definitely a bit more pedaling than I thought as well but I felt it was worth it! Really enjoyed this ride and it's great for the whole crew.

That's awesome Joe, glad you loved it! I really enjoyed this trail and loved grabbing a snack at the end from the Burger joint while waiting for the shuttle. Pretty neat. Oh! and the views!

"Oh to be young" I hear ya on that one! Nice trails and nice riding! You should use a Garmin or something and link to Strava for stats. I'd love to see the profiles of the rides from your perspective! And congrats on passing 2000 subs!!!

I've got an Apple Watch that links to Strava. Suppose I could drop a link in there to it. Is that what you mean?

Awesome shredding, how long did this take to upload?
@RCRGIRL
@RCRGIRL 3 года назад
Took awhile. The initial upload went all night but I wanted to leave to Big Bear and it wasn't finished...so i stopped it. Got to big Bear, rode all day and then made it to AirbnB and went to upload again and it actually started where it left off (nice bonus I wasn't expecting).. short answer: Approx 13hrs LOL I set it and walk away or usually at night while I'm sleeping...

Wow was interesting ride some of part of the trails you were on got me to thinking I might try, but 13:48 was okay it reminds me of the ride I did my brother at Phoenix Sonoran Preserve ( Sonoran Long Figure 8 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HnMZk5iGwcI.html) this was the first I didn’t want to do this ride/trail.

It's a great trail system that is friendly for all. Might be a spot or two that are hike-a-bikes for a beginner but overall pretty rad!
