The vets at the Texas A&M Vet school did something similar with the endoscope when my ferret ate a piece of rubber that can cause a life threatening blockage . They were able to remove it without surgery and I was so grateful for that they have excellent vets just like these vets very knowledgeable and kind ..

I would be sad without dogs and cats as patients. It’s an amazing thing when a pet owner can find such a loving, kind vet as this. And if u aren’t happy with your vet, then keep looking.

It is sad that Molly had an abcess below her eye while in the rescue. Someone from that rescue really dropped the ball.
@lindsyfish6704
@lindsyfish6704 Год назад
I hate blaming rescues, but in this case it's hard not to. The only thing I can think of is that it might have been so minor it was missed. Two weeks is long enough for an infection to get bad enough to notice. Rabbit teeth can look fine on physical exam and still be bad higher up, which is why they needed to x-ray her. They also don't usually like having that part of their face touched and are really good at pretending they're just fine. So unless Molly was eating funny or suddenly only wanted orchard grass or fresh green leafies they wouldn't have suspected that her teeth were a problem. I hope it was just an honest mistake. Most rescues here in Canada who handle rabbits are amazing because they're specialists. I don't know how it is in California, but I suspect it's similar.

I chose $600. Took me a long time to pay it off and I later found out all they did was keep him warm and give him some Benedril. 20 years of vet bills and he went to a parrot breeding farm. 3 of the 6 sugar gliders we've had were not of calm disposition. Sugar gliders have very very high anesthetic risks. Unless absolutely necessary, it should never be used on them. This also happens because they never learned how to be a parrot from their actual biological parents. They can't self-sooth are completely confused, having been "hand-raised" for profit by greedy breeders. These birds have an 80 year life span in captivity. Most end up self mutilating, forgotten and abandoned to rescues with WAY too many birds - 100s and 100s so sad.
@johnsroastbeefbaconcheddar
@johnsroastbeefbaconcheddar Год назад
The parrot was hatched in captivity, and probably were the bird parents. That bird knows nothing about the wild, and wouldn’t survive if released. Parrots are very social creatures, so if you don’t have the time to give them, do not get one. If you don’t have the money to buy them a lot of toys and proper food, don’t get one. That’s the reason why so many end up in rescues. People see pretty colors and the ability to talk, and think it’ll be an easy pet that will just sit in a cage. Nope.
