My bunny Cookie did that all the time. The first time he did that we decide to give him a treat, afterwards he'd hop into the living room walk on his hind legs then hop to the fridge, stare us down until one of us got up & gave him a treat, worked every time. Who trained who?☺️👍🐰
You assist him on his evolution. In his next generation, they will be able to walk. The next generation they will learn to read and take over the world.
***** Bunnies naturally stand on their hind legs all the time, when they want food, or when they're exploring and playing. So, maybe they wouldn't "naturally" walk like that, but it's not as if this bunny was running a marathon. If you notice, the scenes change quite quickly, and each time is only seconds long! My bunny used to do this pretty much on her own with no hesitation when she got excited for her food! She even did this for her medicine, she took her medicine quite greedily! People get all sorts of sports injuries and arthritis just from exercising a lot. Athletes get injured all the time. People don't "naturally" do gymnastics or contortions, or run for miles and miles at a time, so I guess they'd better not do it, huh?
Its wonderful to see you playing games and having fun with your cutie. I wish other owners would take the time to enjoy and train their bunnies like you do. It takes a while but its so worth it. Bunnies are so social and charming. Thanks for posting the video its truely adorable.
You know this is VERY RARE to see! Because if you will notice tame and wild rabbits both, when they are just feeding in the yard, you very seldom ever see them move their hind feet one at a time. They always walk with their front feet one at a time and then hop both of their back feet forward to catch up. I am 53 years old and have raised rabbits several times and this is only about the 2nd or 3rd time I have seen one do it. It's really cool to see one walking upright like this!
@Azmi Tan What's wrong with YOU? Over reacting over a comment I made last year? I'm not even trying to pretend! Know your place and stop trying to act like you know everything and everyone else knows nothing.
Rabbit physiology will eventually evolve on 2 legs have hands that will be capable in doing the same things lie ours, will get smarter and eventually be able to communicate in complex languages. Would be cool though.
Adult human incontinence bed liners can be cut to fit bottom of an indoor bunny hutch making cleanup easier. Plus the large size liners can cover a number of days with just one sectioned ixxi Astrobunny
Adorable! My bunny always stands up on her back legs, but never walks like that. If I'm holding up a treat and doing the same thing you did she would get bored, lol
