Burdekin Basin threats 

The Burdekin River is sixty per cent as big as Australia's largest river system, the Murray-Darling. So far the Burdekin has mostly flowed free of major dams on it but there are now moves to build many new ones. In this presentation Peter McCallum from Mackay Conservation Group and John Connell from North Queensland Conservation Council speak about the threats dams pose to the river system. We also talk about one thing you could do to help prevent at least one dam proceeding.
