Man I’m 33 brother. Prescribed pain pills at 16. Hooked on opiates still today. I wish I knew where to start because I’ve never experienced life sober my whole adult life and what I remember from my childhood seems a lifetime ago!

The man in the boat is like a child who wants to be saved. It is a small portion of ourselves that exist floating above the surface. However, our concern is in the water below in the darkness exist the monster that was created do to our pain and suffering. It created such a beast as to cause fear in others. For every scar we developed immunity to more and more pain exist. Closing us off from the world. Reintroduce yourself to Monster that dwells below. You find it lashes out at the pain that traps it. The Love that abandons it. We understand suffering and often try to drown it anyway we can. However, the ocean was created due to how we flooded the pain. Drugs, Booze, Fighting and causing Pain. Find a moment of peace on your bike between just you & what God created. Find beauty in nature and find that path back to yourself. Slowly learn to Love Again! May Peace find you Brother! GP

I turn 60 this year and began my descent into the madness at your age 33 or 35 years old…after a decade I decided to free myself and just live with the pain! It took me 6 weeks of pure hell to get this behind me and have never looked back I wouldn’t suggest that for you due to your age when you started. The only advice i would give anyone in the same spot is understand this…60 years old is a BLINK away from 33 and all that you have missed or will miss because opiates will be up to you!! Unfortunately it will take literally EVERYTHING in your soul to get past the first 3 weeks; however the next 3 it all begins to let up and for me about 6 weeks i woke up one morning and I realize that I was no longer addicted to this devil!! It literally took about 3 years to stop having the little cravings that your body produces nothing that cause me to jump into the madness but just enough to make me know that I have to be disciplined and vigilant or the monster would have me again…As of today, I will be turning 60 this month and am literally in the best shape i have been in for years. As i look back it occurs to me that had i not made that stand i would no doubt be dead today and since then i have had 3 grandchildren born and my life is exactly the way i had hoped it would be before my struggle with the evil!! It may sound a little corny but the only person that can fix this is YOU! You along with everyone you love and that loves you will reap the rewards of this challenge and they will all celebrate the battle you had to win on your own!! Sorry for the length if you ever even read this…All things are possible if you can think it you can do it!! Good luck my friend!!
I honesty dont know how Tom MacDonald gets hundreds of thousands of views in just hours and Burden doesn't get way more than him. Your music is just better in every possible way. Just further proof that popularity doesnt prove anything when it comes to quality.
I actually don't like Tom McDonald that much. There's a reason that he is put out there and then others aren't. When I listen to Tom McDonald it's very clear why. I think Tom MacDonald is overrated and I think Burden is highly underrated. There's a lot of these guys on RU-vid behind the scenes and it's up to us to get them in the forefront.

I bawl like a baby because I lost my soul mate 4 months ago due to mental illness and Sabrighty. The reason why it hurts me more is because I didn't give up on him and it seems as though she gave up on you. I do not have any idea why because I would have never given up on the one I love most.
