at 8:30, he said a burglar would not crawl through broken glass of a window... my home was burglarized and the burglars used a glass punch and removed the shards of glass, they did so because all my windows had magnetic sensors. if they opened the window, my alarm would have gone off. but they also cut my phone line so the police would not have been notified anyways... also, its a good idea to place motion sensors in all rooms, if your planning on a alarm system. and have the system with a cellular backup in case ur landline gets cut. but there have been reports of burglars using cell jammers to block alarm calls to dispatch centers... you have to utilize multiple layers of security from physical to electronic. and you must stay informed of new avenues of attack. (from bump keys, to people hacking into networked cameras...)

Just get European doors - 5 point locks, 3 on the left, 1 top , 1 bottom, steel reinforced. Windows are all reinforced and laminated prevent breakage. We have these as standard and we can't even get home insurance without it in the UK

Burglar bars would be a good idea over those windows as well.

All I want is a solid poured concrete house with 4 foot thick walls and a 2 inch thick ar-500 steel watertight door as my only means of entry and exit. No windows, thank you very much. I'm good with a few pipes throughout the home for air intake and exhaust.

Youve got to have balls to go into a house at night with so many gun owners in the US. People like me will mag-dump a 9mil into an intruder on sight with no warning, and I'm a light sleeper. Good of this pastor to give some great tips though.

Also some things to help would be a fake security camera, or a real security camera, if you want to spend some more money. It can help get the thieves caught by the police if they do break in. And a sign as well, some sort of security system sign or the like. Like they said, burglars are kind of lazy, and except for the real dumb ones, they will avoid a secure looking target.
