I would love to find a pair of burgundy leather knee-high (or thigh-high) boots this autumn, but the only ones I’ve seen have high heels and pointed toes, which I can’t wear. I do have a maroon/Cordovan pair, but this color is between a true burgundy and a brown. They look fine with other colors, but look too red to match my brown skirts/dresses and too brown to match my burgundy ones. They might have to do for a while, though, I just haven’t seen many options at all, considering how popular this color is this season. I would also love to find a burgundy (genuine) leather skirt. I’ve been wanting to add burgundy boots to jy wardrobe for years, but they’re surprisingly hard to find. When I was a teen and young adult, burgundy was worn in accessories much, much more than it is today, it works so well with many neutrals and other colors. I did get a beautiful Woodland print silk scarf (Aspinal of London) last winter, incorporating both the trending colors burgundy and khaki green, with some soft white, which I love as it brightens it up. I already wore it so much earlier this year, it’s a great outfit-maker. All I need now is some autumn weather, it’s 105F!
