This place is far from your typical Chinatown street food scene. Instead, it offers a unique peek into the daily lives of the locals amidst a colorful and historical backdrop. If you're looking for a unique Chinatown experience in Yangon, Myanmar, then be sure to check out Yangon's Chinatown! This hidden gem is full of delicious food options, as well as interesting cultural experiences. Whether you're a tourist or a resident of Yangon, be sure to check out Yangon's Chinatown!
As I walked down the street, the colorful shutters, vibrant fabrics, and bustling street life reminded me of the lively streets of Havana. It's not just about food here; it's about the people, the community vibe, and a blend of past and present right on the street.
From kids playing, people chatting, to vendors selling their goods, 19th Street is a lively and authentic slice of Yangon. You'll see how the community thrives in this vibrant setting, making it a special place worth exploring.
If you love discovering new places with a rich history and a strong sense of community, this video will take you right into the heart of what makes 19th Street in Yangon a unique experience.

Thank you everyone for your incredible support. I now see you all giving this video some love. I really apreciate it. This is the first video where I feel I did a kind of ok job. Slowly I am improving. Just wait until I get a real camera rather than filming on my phone!

I love Yangon and Myanmar as general, it is like the old Bangkok/Thailand, so traditional and classic. I hope the modernity won't ruined them.

100% That's exactaly how I and all my foreign colleagues feel! There needs to be more development as people deserve to live with dignity. But the way Bangkok/Thailand went is NOT the way. We love the natural, pure and spiritual beauty of here. A connectedness to what is real.

I've just now come upon your videos and I am enjoying them very much. I, too, have spent a lot of time in Thailand - my wife of many years is Thai. I was most recently in Bangkok this past November and December....it is obnoxiously huge, crowded, and sadly, overly-westernized. I've always wanted to go to Myanmar for just what you've mentioned....almost a step-back in time....but haven't made it, and at my age, am likely not to. But, I can enjoy it through your unique and enthusiastic videos.....thank you!

Thanks! It's the first one I'm happy with. I even used songs from Epidemic Sound as I bought a subscription. My skills improve as I feel less weird talking to myself in the street ha ha!

Safe. Dangerous. Life is a risk. All my life everyone told me every country was dangerous. If I listened to everyone I would never leave my bed. I can tell nobody what to do. DYOR
