@@Allthegoodhandlesaretakenlmao i discovered some time ago that the trick is try things. Take things you never use and try to force yourself to use them. Just try to put it anywhere. Even when it looks stupid to do it. Just try it. Some times you'll say "oh thats shit" and you'll delete it right away. But others, you'll say "Oh, and what happens if now i put this there?" And all of a sudden you've built the whole facade of a building with an intricate design including many different parts just because you were wondering at the beginning what would happen if you put a row of windows on your box factory's first floor
@@Allthegoodhandlesaretakenlmao Honestly this power plant is mostly just wide open spaces and a semi-circular shape. And you can use the "beams" in free form mode to make "round" shapes. So while it's still highly impressive, it's not even THAT difficult to make. Just...a LOT of open space and a LOT of time to make those round shapes.
@@Allthegoodhandlesaretakenlmao good, im glad of that. Remember always try something new, something weird, anything that wouldnt normally pass through your mental connections. Use the power of clipping objects, it may look messy or mediocre to some people, but doing it gives amazing results. For example right now im making a train station and im clipping walls on one side of the station so it looks more solid and robust when its enclosed inside a building. I even take advantage of the little door holes of the train station, those doors are ones that i cant make anywhere i want, they are exclusive to the train station building, so i use them to give the place a more "unique" look if that makes sense
I'm seeing 6 groups of 128 coal generators, which would burn 11,520 coal/min or if fully overclocked 28,800 coal/min, however, the map provides 30,900 coal/min. It's close but definitely not using all the coal on the map. Are you losing the rest to train inefficiencies, or did you miss a few nodes?
That's correct. Of the 30,900 coal/min, 28,800 coal/min is used and the remaining coal is collected at the small station in the center at 0:26 of the video. There was a plan to burn 28,800 coal/min and expand further, but it was canceled because adding a small process would change the appearance.
An incredible design incorporated into the very land itself, and actually captivates the beauty of the scenery, making the whole architectural design a part of the world. Not apart from it. Elegant. Bravo, good sir, bravo. I wish we had many more designers like this for our world... it would be a far more beautiful place.
Yes but have you seen my highway that starts and ends in a single biome, that turned slightly around rocks that were in the way, permitting a single truck to bring coal from four normal nodes to my steel foundry to produce 480 steel ingots a minute?
A monumental build, I have achieved only a fraction of this power. The aesthetic is certainly worth the loss of power in Return on Investment! *Edit:* Coal has the best ROI at 88.7%, early to mid game its your best choice by far, the only runner up is if you were to commit everything to fuel and burn it for power, an option you wont have early on. Petroleum coke is a no go, bringing up the rear with a 61.3% power ROI. The amount of machines you have to keep running for each stage of refinement takes away from the overall capacity! *P.S.* I haven't run the math for compacted coal, but that's a sulfuric acid opportunity cost!
This is fantastic, your train network looks awesome, especially through all the different biomes. And then the rush of all that coal on the belts , oh man, beautiful. Not to mention the dam itself. I do predict one problem though. A steel shortage.
- So, I was on Satisfactory whilst looking up guides on how to set up coal.. - Stumbled onto this video and saw how simply amazing the factory looked.. - Went back into my game to see.. a box. Shut down Satisfactory.
This is really Impressive. You really make all those single facilities look like they are only parts of one huge factory. how do you line up your foundations to build round shapes? Is that even possible in normal mode?
I just ran a quick calculation on this power plant. Assuming none of these plants are over or underclocked, this plant should be capable of a max power output of 64.8 GW. That's quite a lot for coal.
i prefer these builds were u see them actally being built rather than just a finished tour it gives me ideas ( not that i use those ideas i end up with a box every dam time)
For curves over 5 degrees, please refer to the 20 tip video on my channel. Tips 6, 18, and 19. For curves below that, it is difficult to explain in chat, so if you need help, please come to Discord and ask questions.
Hilariously ridiculous premise, beautiful execution. Thank you. Some of the slow camera movements early in the video seem to stutter a bit (1:20 - 2:12) compared to the later sections. Very strange that the timelapse appeared less fluid than the much more graphically complex final showcase's realtime footage.
Looks amazing. Question though: how do you get the water up to the generators? I don't see the pumps anywhere, and the max pump height on a water extractor is 10m
For the amount of work that must go into all of your videos, you really deserve so many more views. Every single build is on a scale few people can attain. How many people are involved in building these amazing works?
How are the lights built at 6:45 so bright ? I tried it yesterday with signs but they aren't nearly as bright at max emission. Awesome video by the way !
In 1.0 for performance reasons they dropped the emission distance for signs. If you want the old sign lighting behavior the console command is: r.AOGlobalDistanceField.MinMeshSDFRadius 10 Note: lower number = brighter signs and significantly worse performance You'll have to enter the command every time you open the game
Can't watch de video, at 3:20 it started to burn my brain, ptsd from all the headache i had trying to organize my factories well, and when i see your builds, my brain litterally turned off and i could not watch your video more, no joke, too much ptsd on this game, anyway, love the result, you are savage
@@game0000lab wow that's a lot haha, but to complete the game some coal is needed, so you can just underclock some of them and will still be able to produce steel and such
@@game0000lab Ah ok, thank you! I'm playing without mods so far so I need to make my idea work differently. Thanks for sharing your builds! They're truly inspirational :)
