Hands down the best and most satisfying series finale ever! I LOVE how all of their opening lines were used in the finale: Jesse "It's how we do it" when Micheal was asking him to guard his mom & Charlie Fi "Shall we shoot them?" when Micheal & Fi were in that final gun fight in the relay station Sam "You know spies bunch of bitchy little girls" during his debrief / release meeting at the CIA. I love we got a nice tie back to "My name is Micheal Weston. I used to be a spy" of who he has been narrating to which was Charlie. I can not even count the number of times I've rewatched this series and upon just rewatching it AGAIN I still marvel at how well they ended the show. I love Sam & Elsa are still together. I'm thrilled the people of Miami who need help can get it from Sam & Jesse so that still is happening. And I'm over the moon that Fi, Micheal, and Charlie are together- that Micheal FINALLY got out of the clutches of the CIA / spy world and he can live. He got out in the best way he could and still kept his friends out of prison. Just satisfying! Oh and I have to mention Maddie (Madeline Weston) what a way for a mama to go out which I think was a way to give something back to her son after not being able to do what she needed to in regard to her husband. It seemed she always had some guilt about that. Her exit was so badass and on her own terms which is SO Maddie! Very touching she got to say goodbye to Micheal and Jesse. Truly loved and still love this show! I suspect I'll rewatch the series again by next spring....🤗
WHY WHY WHY did they end it ???? Was one of the best crime dramas i've seen in a long time . I haven't been this "glued" to the TV since Law Order SVU ...CSI Miami was good, but not good as Burn Notice...They should make some post Burn Notice movies ... I'd pay to see them
In another interview, Jeffrey said that it started to feel like a prison sentence. Even though they had a bit show, it was the daily grind of fight scenes and 6 months at a time filming. Of course, after it was over, he thought I'M SUCH AN IDIOT, we had a hit show and he missed doing it. Lol.
Little violent babies...LMAO! JD is hilarious! I totally cracked up at that. I'm a BN fanatic and absolutely so sad that this is the last season. But, he hit the nail on the head when he said it was going to be intense. Awesome season and one of the greatest shows ever! You can thank Miami for taking it off the air!
BN was the best thing on tv for season 1 through 4, then 5 came with stress, high energy, fast action. Gone were the fun days with the team. No more laughing, teasing, just one thing after another in quick session all blurring together. Then season 6; an angry, shouting, out of control Michael, a face slapping, demanding gang boss mom; no more sweetness, just mean, more yelling, and smoking. Fieona's long hair never saw a brush. 'always long, parted in the middle, and straight. Gone were the cute hair styles, clothes, and actions. Fie turned into another average dull person. And poor Sam, you can actually see the stress that season 5 and 6 had on him. He was always so funny, especially with Michael's mom. He was run ragged trying to keep up with all the action, he did a great job coping even so. Okay, I didn't mean to write a book, but once I got started I couldn't quit. This show was my favorite, but I almost stopped watching it because of how things changed. It's like when you first fall in love every thing is wonderful, but then new people started showing up; every body, and every thing changed.
Lulu4Him Nope. It got better and BETTER every season. I don't agree at all. By the way. Relax and enjoy life. It's only a fucking show, lmao. Besides....the fuck do you think is suppose to happen...you think every episode should mirror the last? there is supposed to be ups and downs and changes throughout each season, lmfao. Who are you, a relative of Roger Ebert? What's up with the stupid book?
I feel you Bro. I love Burn Notice that much. I have literally fallen in love with all the characters and view them as part of "MY family." Or at least, my T.V. family, haha. Being from the military, I can relate to *SOME* of this show, and they have hit home with me on a couple occasions. One of the best shows ever. And yes, this is the last season, and the FINALE airs this Thursday. I'm going to be sad for a long time. But there IS talks about a possible B.N. MOVIE coming out!!!!!!!!!
fair enough. I like both. I've heard A LOT of people saying they would've preferred if it just remained what it was at the start. this show could easily be stretched for eight nine, even ten seasons if it was just helping clients with problems and only progressing the story a tiny bit once every few episodes.
They need to make a movie about Michael BEFORE the Burn Notice from the time he finishes training to the missions he does. From his first mission, cover a year then keep doing a movie to cover every year after that leading up to the Burn Notice. And update the language, if another USA show like Suits can say "shit" & "bullshit" they need to as well. I am tired of big things happening & grown men saying, "Oh darn." It's 2013 ffs.
I love'd this show from the first episode, but last season i just felt missed something, it didnt have the same feeling as the prior seasons. But still it has been a good show and all good things come to an end. I will miss you all
I've seen every episode of Burn Notice probably 5 times. I come online every day hoping a new episode came out. I'm one of the biggest BN fans in the world and I can't believe this is the final season. That is crap. This show MUST NOT END!! Greatest show to have ever been aired on television, period, I don't care if anyone disagrees.
Great show. In my opinion the last two seasons were a lot more exciting. I would've ended the 7th season with Michael killing Fiona not Sonia. Season 8 is him building his relationship with Sonia and using his army to do good. Then season 9 would start off with Sonia killing all of Mike's friends and family, Mike killing Sonia and end it with Michael slowly slipping into insanity. It's beautiful...
Yeah as much as I liked Fi though the first ohh 5 seasons? I was actually hoping Michael and Sonya would have taken over the organization. I agree with you ^^^ as well that they had a moral compass that exceeded the CIA
Anson was a part of the story from the beginning. Episodes from the early seasons would be 90% Michael helping an average citizen and 10% burned spy story. The story as a whole would be incomplete with Michael just helping random people forever making it very shallow. It was necessary for the writers to branch out without making the story too far fetched. They did a good job of this by making episodes end in suspense and then follow through with a story that was not too predictable as well.
I get what you're saying, but look at it from Fi's perspective. For 5 years Michael has been promising her that this would all be over and they could live their version of a normal life. He broke his promise. It's not fair for him to have her just waiting around while he continues to peel back layers of this conspiracy. It's not about him doing well enough for her. It's about him keeping his promise. Which he hasn't done.
Well I don't think a Spin off involving Michael Westen would work, but please keep in mind, most fans that want a spin off, want a Sam Axe and Jesse Porter spinoff. Both Campbell and Bell have expressed interest in one as has Matt Nix. They've basically said they'd be up for it. It's just putting the pieces together. I'd assume that involves location, schedules, etc. I'm pretty sure they could still do a lot with Sam Axe's character and Jesse's character's depth hasn't really been explored. :)
with a lot of good shows on or coming on their last season, i cant help but wonder if there will be new good shows to follow. any suggestions? i like dexter, burn notice, the office, psych, etc... the following and bates motel are great. any show similar? whats up with "Under The Dome" is it a mini series or a show?
I'm giving up all hope that they get back together. I think they will become friends again and possibly as close we they were, but I don't think Fiona is going to get past the hurt and Michael isn't going to fight for her in fear that he will break her heart.. again. I see the series ending with them as a team but Fiona still with Carlos. Carlos was only going to be in 3-4 episodes, but he is now in more than half the season. I take that as a bad sign & that he stick around til the end.
bump. Episode 12 was epic but revealing his true nature to Sam at that point was very unlikely of Michael Westen. I was kinda hoping he would go along with James' plan, then deliver a major hit on CIA in the final episode.
I hate that this is the final season. This is one of the rare shows that has grabed my attention and held it.I could think of a million epsiodes to keep viewers attention. If Michael and Fiona don't get back together I'll never wacth another Burn Notice anything!
at every turn something is getting in Michael's way of freedom. Michael's only remote fault is killing Card [emotions caused him to forget about gpr, which could have convicted Card for killing Tyler Grey]. he's been fighting to get away, but circumstances keep pulling him back in, and inadvertently the ones close to him. he does the best he can to protect them, and everyone spits in his face because they can only see what they want, and not the whole picture that Michael has to deal with.
Michael also gets a new girlfriend. I think it's going to come down to Fiona having to pick between Michael & Carlos and either she will pick Carlos or decide that she wants to spend the rest of her life focusing on her own-self instead of a man. I definitely hate Matt Nix right now and I think he is going to completely disappoint Michael & Fi fans tremendously.
I would too but honestly i don't really want the show to end. There is too much action that makes all of us to enjoy it. But end of the day shows end sadly :/
But it's cool after all, you can interact with the personal life of the characters, rather than mission impossible, in wich you only see the mision development
I can't believe it's over I love this show my favorite show is ending and im not going to tell you what happens though I don't want to ruin it but I can't believe who dies
No burn notice! I dont watch a lot of tv... But if burn notice is on, im fucking watching it.. I think burn notice game would be sick if done right. I know there worried about stretching the show out to far... But damn this is such a good show!
I understand were there coming from. Some people just like continuity others prefer variety, its all just a matter of opinion. I started watching at the end of season four when the story started to become more complex. I don't think that its a soap opera its just a different style that some people like and some people don't.
IVE SAID IT BEFORE AND ILL SAY IT AGAIN TILL IM BLUE IN THE FACE.. BURN NOTICE MOVIE: MICHAEL AND FIONA BULLETS BOMBS AND LOVE. A MOVIE OF HOW THEY MET WILL SUIT ME JUST FINE. THE FLASHBACKS AND THAT DAMN COMICSTRIP JUST PISS ME OFF!!!!
I think they need a spin off series like NCIS got, the shows just way to popular to drop it entirely it needs new cast new location new burned spy with a story to tell whether that spy wants to find a way back in or have a grudge thats their business but still I think a new character a new story would be good drop whoever anywhere but Miami and itd be fineee
I love the show, but like Jeffrey Donovan said, it's gotten too far removed from its original premise, and it's time to end it. It's one of the best cable shows of all time, and will live on after its original run. It's going to leave behind a great legacy. And no, I do not want to see a spin off, because the story has already been told. There will be future great shows that we will all enjoy.
Loved the show, but it turned into a soap opera with really cool explosions... Shoulda just kept helping random civilians that were in need, that was their strong suit :(
would anyone else rather see Michael and Sonya together than Michael and Fi? as much as I like Fi, she's becoming too pretentious for me. Michael can never do well enough for her. he's always there for her and he'll do ANYTHING for her, but if he doesn't bend and contort to perfectly fit her mold, he's Satan. Sonya is inexperienced and vulnerable, but I think she could come to appreciate Michael's love a lot more than Fi seems to.
