This video is the latest collaboration between Benoit and Ga-ga and Mark and Jane, filmed in the Lower Hunter region of NSW, Australia. The Ukulele Community in our area has been vibrant for a decade, and the joy shows.
Communities at Lake Macquarie, Newcastle and Port Stephens went to massive efforts to make this a success. Thanks also to the Newkulele Festival who chipped in a tidy sum to affray some of the expenses, as did myriad ukestrans. A real community effort.
Robbie Long from Funky Lizard Studios made us sound beautiful on Ruth McCrae's arrangement. You can hear the voices, ukes and bass of John Wallace, Jane, me, and Ruth, with Caroline Traill and Barry Hill (of Uke Dirty Rats) on lead vocals.
The Hunter's locations just shone (as they can only do) and we are proud to have this video.
