Lol , Redemption Ep was Afrofusion too , so was Spaceship ... Lots of bodies of works at the time by other artistes too were .... That's what this man is trying to explain ... Originator of Afrofusion is a reach for any artiste to claim at this point and it's not even the fault of the artistes but because of poor documentation , hopefully things will begin to be documented appropriately so that issues like this will cease to arise in future . Even the modern day UK music scene is deeply rooted in Afrofusion , they were able to carve a niche they called Afro Swing but it's still the same thing coming down to the basics ... And Nigerian artistes helped them carve that niche into afro swing that's why they were way ahead of USA in adapting to Afrobeats . If there should be an originator for Afrofusion I don't even think the credit should go to any artist because the truth is Producers did most of the work ... The issue is nothing is really ever documented Originator is a reach ... The most appropriate term should be Face of Afrofusion . Burna has put in that much effort and for now has all right to be the face of Afro Fusion . Even that too is Subjective as there can never be one face of Afrofusion , because it'll change with time , for the present he's done enough to be the face of Afrofusion .... I said Afro Fusion and not Afrobeats because that's a different topic entirely . And again Afrobeats is a well established Genre already ... They've all done well to make it so ( Nigerian Artistes ) . Afro Fusion can not be coined a genre as yet , but we don't know what the future holds. What's funny and interesting is the fact that the Afrobeats genre is a type of Afro Fusion too lol . It's just more deeply rooted in the core elements of African sounds, that's what makes it unique , a perfect genre , because it sounds different from other genres already in existence . Afro Fusion is Raw Material it's not refined. Afrobeats genre is an end product (one of the refined sounds in Afro Fusion) and as we've seen so far already , there's still so much more genres that Afro Fusion will birth apart from Afrobeats (there's quite a number already ... Alte , Afro Swing , Afro Rave , Afrobeats , Afro Dancehall are some examples of genres coined from Afro Fusion) This is how I like to see it .

I think what we first have to realise is that for Afro Fusion to be a genre on its own ... It has to be Unique in its own right , there has to be a certain style / beat / rhythm about it that'll differentiate it from other genres . If Burna works specifically on this then he has established Afro fusion as a genre . Right now though the term is too broad and overly diverse , there's absolutely no way to pinpoint what Afrofusion is at the moment... That's why no matter how you want to look into it , every artiste In Nigeria is an Afrofusion artiste , even the ones that claim afrobeats because even that is Afrofusion if we'll be honest

I remember my jaw dropping seeing Mr. Eazi going around in interviews claiming he made this new sound when Bankulize was released when in truth he recorded bankulize on a reggae riddim and Juls heard it and asked him to send the accapella and created the back beat for the version we know today that launched Eazi's career and set the tone for his sound.
